Kaia Gerber is embracing her status as a nepo baby despite its stigma! In addition to being a rising star in Hollywood, Kaia is also establishing herself in the modeling industry, following in the footsteps of her mother, supermodel Cindy Crawford.
While making a name for herself in the entertainment business, Kaia consistently honors her mother, who helped pave the way for her. At the 2024 Toronto International Film Festival (TIFF) premiere of her latest project, Shell, Kaia paid homage to her mom in a white Hervé Leger dress, a replica of the one Cindy Crawford wore at the 1993 Academy Awards.

Looking like the spitting image of her supermodel mom, Kaia donned a white bodycon dress crafted from Hervé Leger’s signature bandage material, composed of strips of fabric sewn together to adapt to Kaia’s figure. I’m impressed by how it accentuates Gerber’s svelte frame.
It has a sweetheart neckline and structured underwire bra cups held in place by thick spaghetti straps. Very few people can pull off a tight dress like this, and Kaia Gerber and Cindy Crawford are undoubtedly the two lucky ones with the figures to do so.
Kudos to Molly Dickinson and Hervé Leger for recreating the dress! “Kaia had sent me a mood board for TIFF, and this was one of her references,” Dickinson told Vogue of Kaia’s TIFF outfit. “I thought it would be amazing to pay tribute to Cindy’s iconic moment.”

Fully channeling Cindy Crawford’s 1993 Oscar look, Austin Butler’s girlfriend paired the white dress with white pumps. I thought they were the ideal finishing touch for the ensemble.
She wore the Jimmy Choo “Ixia” pumps, distinguished by their chic drop heels, providing a modern twist to the traditional pump design.

Kaia carried her essentials in a Jimmy Choo “Bon Bon” bag, meticulously crafted from supple ivory satin. It has a hand-finished crystal bracelet top handle and a sleek metal tassel drawstring chain closure. This bag is available at Farfetch for $1,931.
Gerber seemingly borrowed from her mom’s jewelry collection. She wore a vintage diamond choker necklace, diamond-encrusted chain earrings, bracelets, and an Omega timepiece. ICYDK, Gerber was named Omega ambassador in 2017.
I applaud Kaia’s glam team, makeup artist Dana Delaney, and hairstylist Clayton Hawkins for even managing to recreate Crawford’s 1993 beauty look!
Kaia’s brunette tresses were styled in voluminous side-parted waves, and her features were accentuated with bronze eyeshadow, fluttery lashes, and rosy cheeks and lips.

Shell: The Horrible Secret Inside Zoe Shannon’s Ultraglamorous World
Shell centers on Samantha Lake (Elisabeth Moss), an actress who’s given an opportunity to try a treatment from the wellness company Shell by its CEO Zoe Shannon (Kate Hudson) to prevent the aging process and improve her skin. Because of Hollywood’s inclination toward beauty and youthfulness more than skill, she is persuaded to give it a go, as her career is failing.
At the clinic, Samantha runs into her rival, starlet Chloe Benson (Kaia Gerber), and wonders why a young woman would need the treatment.
Following the procedure, Samantha feels more confident and is receiving the recognition she has always desired. She soon starts to feel the effects of the treatment, and Chloe disappears. She worries she may be in danger after several other Shell patients go missing.
Shell is a dark comedy horror film directed by Max Minghella and written by Jack Stanley.
