Joey King’s style has always resonated with me. A risk taker when it comes to fashion, the 24-year-old actress frequently favors bold and youthful looks that radiate a carefree, relaxed vibe.
I am a fan of her cutting-edge style, which is often daring and enchanting. Take, for example, her look at the Miu Miu Fall/Winter 2024-2025 fashion show during Paris Fashion Week on Tuesday.
Joey King, seated beside Sydney Sweeney and Lorde in the front row, couldn’t be missed. She was braless in her double-denim ensemble, which reflected her penchant for edgy and risqué style.

Evolution from Child Star to Fashion Icon
I applaud King’s bold departure from her child-star days when she often wore princess-style dresses. Since 2018, the Bullet Train actress, who’s now married to producer and director Steven Piet, has been wearing skin-baring cutaway clothes that draw attention to her figure, and I think she looks great in them.
Double Denim: A Fashion Gamble
For the Miu Miu Paris Fashion Week, King gorgeously teamed a long-sleeved raw-hemmed denim shirt with a knife-pleated denim mini skirt.
Although the combination gave off a preppy Queen Bee vibe, The Kissing Booth star injected her signature flair into the look, putting a bold spin on the classic ‘90s Canadian Tuxedo by buttoning only the collar of her shirt, exposing her abs and cleavage.
I wouldn’t recommend wearing double denim, as it is challenging to pull off and can either make or break your entire look. However, Joey’s confidence and innate charm allowed her to own the style.

Trendsetting With Peekaboo Underwear
In addition to embracing double-denim and unbuttoned shirt trends, King made a case for peekaboo underwear, a strange trend that has been around since the Y2K.
It dominated Miu Miu’s Spring 2024 runway in October 2023, and celebrities, including Joey King and Sydney Sweeney, were seen sporting the cheeky style at the Italian label’s recently concluded Fall/Winter fashion show.
Even though King’s outfit seems to incorporate several trends, I find it interesting how she looked rather understated. Thanks in part to her longtime stylist, Jared Eng, who curated the ensemble and carefully selected her accessories.
I like Joey King’s effortless glam, created by Dimitris Giannetos and Harold James, as it allowed the ensemble to speak for itself while enhancing the look’s sultry vibe. Her blonde tresses were worn down in waves, flowing around her shoulders, while her features were highlighted with bronze makeup and brick-red lipstick.

Accessorizing the Look
Joey King eschewed any jewelry save for her unique elongated oval-cut diamond engagement ring designed by Brooklyn-based fine jewelry brand Mociun.
She carried her essentials in a white Miu Miu “Wander” matelassé shoulder bag with a gold-tone logo lettering on the front, available for $2,750 at Farfetch.
I like how she continued with her look’s preppy schoolgirl aesthetic by wearing square-shaped browline eyeglasses and slipping her feet into coordinating black slingback pumps.
Crafted from shiny patent leather, these pumps have a classic slingback silhouette and gold-tone buckles that add a sophisticated contrast to the contemporary, rebellious look of the strappy upper.
They are finished with varnished 4-inch heels, boosting King’s 5’4” height by a few inches. These slingback pumps with kitten heels are available at Saks Fifth Avenue for $1,290.

Joey King’s Whimsical Nude and Black Givenchy Dress
Joey King turned heads in a quirky dress at the Screen Actors Guild Awards a few weeks ago, showcasing her unique and bold style.
I know I said Joey King’s style resonates with me, but I can’t seem to adore the entire look as much as I love her SAG gown’s elegant beige-and-black combination. There’s too much going on with the dress, which reminds me of a failed sewing project.
The eccentric dress, hailing from Givenchy’s Spring 2024 collection, had a black satin fabric wrapped around the bust and draped on one side, held in place by skinny spaghetti straps.

The rest of King’s contours were encased in a nude sheer chiffon ankle-length skirt exquisitely adorned with contrasting blue iris blooms.
I liked the addition of the black sheer opera gloves as they brought a touch of regal drama, especially when worn with the two sparkling Pomellato rings. However, I didn’t think her necklace went well with the rest of her look, though it matched her dress’ floral design.
The shoes, too, were a miss for me. A pair of black or nude sandals would have probably worked better with her dress.
Joey King wore the Andrea Wazen “Denver” pumps with sheer pointed vamps, thin ankle straps, and 3-inch heels.

To be fair, her glam was lovely. Allan Avendaño used Dior Beauty products to give Joey King a radiant finish. He highlighted her blue eyes with pink eyeshadow, mascara, and glittery blue makeup in the inner corner before finishing the look with soft pink blush and lipstick.
I also like her ’90s hairstyle, which Xavier Velasquez styled with a zigzag headband. It brought back memories of my youth when headbands were trendy. However, the headband seems out of place with her outfit and the occasion.
