Jodie Turner-Smith has been serving glamorous outfits in the days leading to “The Agency” premiere. Wearing elegant ensembles by Burberry, S.S. Daley, Roberto Cavalli, and Nensi Dojaka, she has cemented her status as a fashion icon whose sense of style blends classic pieces with modern touches.
However, her recent press tour wardrobe choices demonstrated her preference for edgy, daring styles that echo her earlier fashion statements, like those she wore during the “The Acolyte” promotion.
Embracing Winter White in Diaper Shorts and White Tights
Jodie has always had a bold sense of style, but her most recent appearance was so controversial that it raised eyebrows among the conservatives as she made her way to the Today studios.
Proving she isn’t afraid to take fashion risks, Jodie Turner-Smith made an impression in an unconventional ensemble consisting of a black knit top and winter white staples. I genuinely love the black-and-white color scheme, as it conveys a sense of timeless beauty. However, I also like how the ensemble felt like a contemporary spin on traditional winter clothing.

Jodie layered a plush white floor-length coat with exaggerated lapels over a cozy black knit sweater, emphasizing the sophisticated style of the ensemble. Although it gave the look a much-needed sense of timeless elegance, her bottoms—or lack thereof—ironically seem to be the look’s focal point.
Adding quirkiness to the classy color combination, Jodie wore white diaper shorts—those incredibly tiny shorts more suited as undergarments—and white tights, leaving her pants at home.
Her barely-there silky shorts, adorned with a rosette and a playful Hello Kitty accent on the left hip, were paired with $15 50 Denier matte white opaque tights by Calzedonia. The tights highlighted her long, slender legs and added an intriguing touch to the daring ensemble.
Despite my aversion to wearing such an outfit, I have to give Jodie credit for having the guts to pull off such an eccentric style—and doing it so effortlessly! I honestly think the ensemble would have looked simple and unremarkable if she had worn trousers.

The Rise of Pantless Trend
Wearing underwear as outerwear may sound ridiculous, but it has grown popular among Hollywood’s It girls. Anya Taylor-Joy wore the controversial trend twice at the Furiosa: A Mad Max Saga London press tour. Zendaya also showed her take on the trend during the Challengers promotion. Kendall Jenner, meanwhile, has frequently sported the pantless look, notably at the Met Gala 2023.
Jodie Turner-Smith is one of those who can carry this look off with ease. In fact, she has worn this style before during the Acolyte press tour.
While this style is undoubtedly not for the faint of heart, it’s a bold and interesting one to try if you want to make a statement.

Sleek Accessories for a Contemporary Finish
Although it’s a bit of a departure from her previous fashion statement, Jodie did a fantastic job keeping the ensemble cool and sleek with her accessories.
She carried her necessities in the $275 small, boxy white leather Slim Trunk bag from Brandon Blackwood and covered her eyes behind black oval sunglasses.

The black slingback pumps added to the edgy black elements of the look. I assumed they were Christian Louboutin, as she has been sporting the label throughout the press tour, but I noticed the bottom soles weren’t red.
Turner-Smith’s classic pumps have pointed toes, buckled ankle straps, and stiletto heels, boosting her already impressive 5’9” height.
Jodie wore her tresses in braids and finished the look with neutral-colored lip gloss and multiple glittering rings, adding glam to the monochrome ensemble.

Tough Chic in Army Green Burberry Jeans and Biker Jacket
Jodie Turner-Smith continued her interpretation of the monochromatic trend by wearing a head-to-toe army green outfit for her Live with Kelly & Mark appearance.
Despite my admiration for the look’s complex but edgy components, I don’t think Jodie looks good in the color. I think it’s dull and doesn’t adequately capture Jodie’s radiant skin.
Blending romantic ruffles with edgy biker chic, Jodie wore a frilly, plunging ribbed beige Burberry top underneath an extremely cropped ivory leather biker jacket with zips and buckled straps, adding to the intricacy of the ensemble.
In line with the motif, Jodie teamed the look with tapered workwear pants in the same shade of khaki, also from Burberry.

Any fashionista who likes neutrals knows that adding distinctive accessories can liven up an earth-toned ensemble. Jodie, however, chose to go full army green with her $2,290 Burberry Small Rocking Horse bag, which gave the functional combo just the right amount of glam.
Her jewelry selection, which included several rings, earrings, and a gold necklace, complemented the ensemble. However, to contrast with the khaki green of her ensemble, I wish she had worn something more striking and of a different hue.
Jodie added a pair of dark brown The Attico shoes to finish off her earth-toned attire. She wore the $395 (originally $790) “Venus” satin pumps, which featured wraparound slingback ankle straps that were unfortunately concealed by her trousers.
Even though they are a minor detail, I love how the white-capped stiletto heels add a chic contrast to the design.
The one item I would change, if I could, would have been her green bag. I think a brown bag matching her heels would have perfected the look.

Jodie Turner-Smith’s fashion evolution continues to captivate audiences. During the press tour for “The Acolyte,” she showcased her versatility by donning four distinct outfits in a single day, each reflecting her dynamic style.
At the Venice Film Festival, she further solidified her status as a fashion icon with nine standout looks that turned heads and set trends. Her sartorial choices consistently demonstrate a fearless approach to fashion, blending elegance with bold statements.
