The 2023 Marrakech International Film Festival kicked off Friday in Morocco with a star-studded guestlist led by Jessica Chastain, the jury president for the 20th edition of the annual cinematic event.
Arriving at the Palais des Congrès in Ochre City, the 46-year-old actress led the glamour in a shimmering champagne-colored jumpsuit from Armani Prive’s brilliant Fall 2021 Couture collection.
Chastain exuded effortless elegance in her magnificent ensemble that beautifully enveloped her toned figure. It was completely decked out in glistening rhinestone crystals, allowing the actress to shine on the red carpet.

The bodice, which offered a glimpse of her cleavage, had a plunging neckline held in place by extremely thin spaghetti straps.
The Eyes of Tammy Faye star confidently posed on the red carpet with her waist cinched in to showcase her slender figure.
The bottom part of her sparkly outfit featured flowy straight-leg pants with a split hem that displayed her coordinating gilded platform sandals.
Delicately strapped to her ankles, Jessica’s high-heeled sandals have glittery leather uppers and peep toes, offering a peek at her pedicured feet. They also have thick platforms and towering heels that boosted her 5’4” height by several inches.

Her exquisite outfit’s pièce de resistance was the striking fringe cape, adorned with strings of pearls and beads and fastened around her neck with a gilded hook clasp.
Letting her outfit do the talking, The Good Nurse star skipped wearing jewelry and pulled her red tresses back into a curly high ponytail.
She then wore a full face of makeup, including graphic liner, red smokey eyeshadow, rosy blush, and bold red lip color.

Chastain opened the festival by honoring the arts and emphasizing the significance of boosting the industry to bring about positive change amid the horrific events emanating from the Middle East and less than two months after a devastating earthquake hit Morocco.
“In the weeks leading up to the festival, we were not sure that we would even be able to be here. The world we share is shattered and devoured,” Chastain began her speech.
“Throughout history, art has been used as an accessible tool for communication, raising awareness about social issues and affecting positive change.”

Urging the attendees at the convention center to promote the arts and help change the world, Chastain continued, “I encourage us all to take action. Grab a paintbrush, an instrument, a pen… at this moment, all around the world, we need art that speaks truth to power and uplift us all.”
As per reports, more than 70 films are scheduled to screen at the festival, including Jessica Chastain’s most recent drama, Memory, written and directed by Michel Franco.
Chastain stars opposite Peter Sarsgaard in the film, which centers on “two lonely, battered souls, searching for love, peace, acceptance and meaning in life.”
Memory is set for a December 22 limited theatrical release in the US before a wide release on January 5, 2024.
