From February 22, 1997, to January 1998, Jennifer Lopez was married to her first husband, Cuban waiter Ojani Noa.
They met while he was working at a Cuban restaurant owned by singer Gloria Estefan in Miami Beach. Ojani, who appeared on a 2016 episode of Million Dollar Matchmaker, later proposed with a $100,000 marquise-cut diamond ring.

“I am just like Ricky when I sing,” he said about his ambitions after their divorce. “I want to be famous and respected for what I do, just like Jen.”
After divorcing, Jennifer hired her ex-husband to run Madre’s, a Cuban restaurant inspired by her mother’s cooking that she opened in April 2002. She fired him just six months later. The restaurant, located in Pasadena, California, closed its doors in July 2008.
In 2015, Ojani Noa allegedly tried to release a movie titled “How I Married Jennifer Lopez: The JLO and Ojani Noa Story” drawn from “11+ hours of previously unseen home video footage,” including scenes from their 1997 honeymoon.

“There is revealing video of [Lopez] with a lack of clothing and in sexual situations, especially in the hotel footage from the honeymoon,” Noa’s business partner, Ed Meyer, told In Touch while promoting the tape. “The videos contain salacious material and are going to shock her fans.”
According to TMZ, the sex tape doesn’t include any sex acts but some “spanking and some booty.”
“There’s no nudity. The most revealing scenes show her in a bikini. It’s nothing you wouldn’t see on the dance floor or in videos,” lawyer Cris Armenta told NY Daily News in 2011. “It’s nothing to be overly concerned about.”
In a lawsuit, Jennifer Lopez claimed that Ojani’s intention to release the alleged honey sex tape was in violation of a previously signed confidentiality agreement. It’s doubtful the intimate footage will ever be released to the public.
