Jennifer Lopez has been on hundreds—if not thousands—of stages by now, but something was different with her performance of her latest song, “Love Make the World Go Round.” We felt J. Lo’s heart. The pop star dropped her latest collaboration with Broadway’s “Hamilton” star Lin-Manuel Miranda as a tribute to the Orlando shootout victims.

Collaborating with Lin-Manuel Miranda
Lin-Manuel Miranda wasn’t the obvious choice for the collaboration initially, but J.Lo said that after his name came up, she knew he would be the perfect fit. Lin-Manuel gave a tear-jerking speech addressing the violence at the recent Tony Awards, which took place just hours after the Orlando shootout.
“I had this song, I’ve had it for maybe eight months, and I love [it], I love the hook. When everything happened in Orlando, I kind of heard it in a different way, and I was like, ‘The world needs this right now, the world really needs the message of love being the answer,’” Lopez said after her performance.
“I decided it needed a rework, and I wanted to put somebody on the bridge… I had seen Lin-Manuel Miranda’s speech on the Tonys and thought he was the perfect person to do this with me. I stalked him… and I was like, ‘We have to do this!’”

Jennifer Lopez Shines on ‘The Tonight Show’ with Michael Cinco Couture
A few days after her “Today Show” performance, Jennifer made headlines when she performed at “The Tonight Show” wearing a stunning creation from Filipino designer Michael Cinco.

The outfit was a Swarovski-embellished cape with a long train that resembled stained glass Cathedral windows.
More than 10,000 differently colored Swarovski crystals were handsewn into the cape, and handmade silk embroideries were also included in the design.

According to the designer, the outfit took a team of 100 people around six months to finish! All that effort, however, was worth it because the results were spectacular.
