Jennifer Hudson was recently spotted arriving at LAX after a flight from Chicago. The singer wasn’t dressed in one of her usual glam outfits, but she did show a different side to her style by going for a more hip-hop and laid-back look.
Coming from a cold Chicago, Jennifer was bundled up in multiple layers of scarves, complemented by snow boots, a beanie, and a thick jacket.

How do you like Jennifer’s plane ride style? She certainly went for a very layered look using scarves instead of piling on the outerwear, do you think she put together the right mix? And if we were to ask you how many scarves (you think) she had on, would you be able to tell us?
Our guess is three, but we could be wrong, of course.

Piling on several layers of scarves isn’t a bad thing — especially during freezing weather. You can even do it with flair by choosing the right extras (and colors) to combine. Also, remember to use scarves of different degrees of thickness.
For example, don’t mix two or three equally chunky pieces. Mix with thinner items to keep yourself from drowning in the scarves. Here are three combinations we cooked up for you if you want to pile it like a pro:
Madewell Mountain Shadow Scarf, $60 / Pendleton The Portland Collection Pattern Fringed Scarf, $118
Paula Bianco Long Pull Through Tassel Scarf, $85 / Spun Scarves by Subtle Luxury Pixelated Bouquet Scarf, $58
YARNZ Glen Plaid Cashmere Scarf, $218 / Rag & Bone Edward Scarf, $175
