In 2008, a fresh-faced Emma Stone traded her usual quirky roles for the perky pink world of sorority life in the American comedy film “The House Bunny.”
She played Natalie Sandler, the studious and somewhat uptight president of a struggling sorority, whose world collides with the flamboyant ex-Playmate Shelley (Anna Faris) when she becomes their unlikely house mother.
A moderate commercial success, along with her co-stars in the movie, she performs a cover version of the Waitresses’ 1982 song “I Know What Boys Like.”

Role Preparation and Character Development
Emma Stone initially auditioned for the role of Ashley, the president of a rival sorority known for her tense nature and focus on enemies, in “The House Bunny.” However, she was asked to read for the character Natalie instead during the audition. Sarah Fay Wright Olsen was cast as Ashley.
“Originally, I went in to read Ashley, who is the president of our rival sorority, and she’s a little more high-strung and more about her enemies instead of her friends,” Emma told North by Northwestern in June 2008 about her audition for The House Bunny.
“So I went in with that mentality, and then they had me read Natalie, and everything kind of changed. Peeking into the script, I liked where these characters were coming from. They’re trying to improve themselves, not just for boys or popularity, but because they want to take control of their life,” she added.

“I thought it was very true to the years you are in college — trying to grow into the person you’ll become — and a lot of the characters go through the same thing, so it was cool and interesting.”

“I was always a negative-A cup, so when I was 30, I was getting a divorce, I had just finished House Bunny, and I’d sold another movie. All of these new things were happening to me, so I got my breasts done,” Faris told Women’s Health magazine in April 2018 about her decision to get breast implants.
“I never, ever thought I’d do something like that. I always thought plastic surgery was caving in to ‘the man,” you know? But it came down to a really simple thing: I wanted to fill out a bikini. What would that feel like?”

“Around the time I was filming The House Bunny, I started getting lip injections in my upper lip. I did it for a little bit and I noticed a small difference, but no one else ever said anything. I kept wondering if anybody else even noticed,” Faris writes in her book “Unqualified” that you can buy on Amazon.
