Among them, the legendary actor Harrison Ford made a rare red carpet appearance, accompanied by his longtime partner, Calista Flockhart. Their love story began in 2002 and culminated in a joyous union in 2010.
In May 2023, the stage was set for Harrison Ford’s heartfelt farewell to his iconic on-screen hero, Indiana Jones, and he walked the red carpet hand in hand with the love of his life, Calista.

The then-80-year-old star exuded timeless style, captivating everyone with his presence. He cut a dashing figure in a meticulously tailored black tuxedo suit, complemented by a crisp white shirt and a striking large bow tie.

Harrison Ford, who has immortalized the character of Indiana Jones since his debut in 1984’s Raiders Of The Lost Ark, is set to bid farewell to this iconic role in the fifth Indiana Jones movie, Dial of Destiny.
Produced by Kathleen Kennedy, Frank Marshall, and Simon Emanuel, with Steven Spielberg and George Lucas serving as executive producers, this installment sees Indiana Jones pitted against time to recover a legendary artifact with the power to shape destinies.
James Mangold directed the movie, which promises an exhilarating cinematic experience. It is scheduled for release on June 30 and features an outstanding cast, including Mads Mikkelsen and Antonio Banderas.

This highly anticipated film arrives 15 years after the memorable Cannes premiere of Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull.
In a recent interview with Total Film, Harrison Ford confirmed that this would be his final portrayal of the beloved character.
Reflecting on the series conclusion, the Ender’s Game star expressed, “This is the final film in the series, and this is the last time I’ll play the character. I anticipate that it will be the last time that he appears in a film.”
Addressing the rumors of an Indiana Jones TV series by Disney Plus, Harrison stated that he would “not be involved in that if it does come to fruition.”

However, he eagerly awaits the fans’ response to the final adventure of Indiana Jones, saying, “I had been ambitious to do this film for 10 years, and there finally came a time when we all committed to that. It was a joyous moment for me. I think it’s a rare situation that I find myself in.”
He continued, “I’ve been able to deliver amazing films developed by Steven [Spielberg] and George [Lucas] over a 40-year period, and to end it not with a whimper, but a bang, has been my greatest ambition for this excursion.”
Before the movie’s grand premiere, Harrison Ford was honored with the prestigious Palme d’Or Award, the highest accolade at the Cannes Film Festival. This recognition celebrated his extraordinary portrayal of Indiana Jones and his remarkable lifetime achievements in the film industry.

The audience rose to their feet, showering the actor with a standing ovation that brought tears to his eyes.
Deeply moved, Harrison accepted the special award from Cannes director Iris Knobloch, expressing his gratitude and reflecting, “Thank you so much. I’m very touched, I’m very moved by this. They say when you’re about to die, you see your life flash before your eyes, and I just saw my life flash before my eyes. A great part of my life, but not all of my life.”
Harrison paid tribute to his beloved wife in his heartfelt speech, saying, “My life has been enabled by my lovely wife, who has supported my passions and my dreams and I’m grateful.”

Pausing to address the audience, he continued, “And you know, I love you too. You’ve given my life purpose and meaning and I’m grateful for that, so grateful.”
Harrison also took a moment to acknowledge his esteemed co-stars, saying, “So grateful to have the opportunity to work with artists like Phoebe (Waller–Bridge), even Mads (Mikkelsen). And I’m deeply moved by this honor and humbled. But I got a movie you gotta see. It’s right behind me so let me get out of the way and thank you again for this great honor.”
