Halsey has been experiencing a severe health crisis since the birth of her first child, Ender Ridley Aydin, in July 2021.
The star, who goes by the pronouns she/they, has clarified that her health issues have been an ongoing problem for the last eight years.

Hasley, 27, took to Instagram to share her health issues, telling fans that she is literally allergic to everything. “Obviously, my health has changed a lot since I got pregnant and gave birth. I started getting really, really, really sick.”
She shared that she has been sick for most of her adult life. In an Instagram post, the star shared that when she wasn’t working, she was “essentially confined” to her home. After giving birth to her child, Ender, the star’s health took a drastic turn for the worst.

“I just want to clarify, for the benefit of friends of friends who may have any of the diagnoses that I recently shared, I didn’t ‘just get sick’ I’ve been sick. For a long time. My sicknesses just have their names now. I went to doctors for eight years. Trying to figure out what was wrong with me. I was called crazy and anxious and lazy amongst other things. I changed my entire lifestyle.”
Halsey Finally Has a Diagnosis
She recently shared a post on Instagram to update her fans on her health issues and that she had recently received a diagnosis for her ailments, which she is celebrating. “It took me a long time to get to even having a diagnosis so I’m celebrating!”
The singer’s diagnosis is a collection of diseases, including autoimmune disease. Shortly before attending the 2022 Grammys, she underwent surgery for the condition.

“The last time I attended the Grammys was 2017 and it was 3 days after I had my first Endometriosis surgery. I walked the carpet with my stitches still in 😅 As luck would have it, I’m attending tomorrow for the first time in years and I had surgery again (you guessed it) 3 days ago. Only posting this to say, if you see me be gentle lol I’m fragile. Fragile but excited 🙂 🤍,” she shared about her endometriosis diagnosis on Instagram.

“I was hospitalized for anaphylaxis a few times and had some other stuff going on. Basically, after seeing a like 100,000 doctors, I got diagnosed with Ehlers-Danlos syndrome, Sjogren’s syndrome, Mast Cell Activation Syndrome (MCAS), [and] Postural Orthostatic Tachycardia Syndrome (POTS).”
Ehlers-Danlos Syndrome is an inherited group of disorders that affects the body’s connective tissues.

Sjogren’s syndrome is an autoimmune disorder where the body attacks the glands that make tears and saliva but can also affect other parts of the body.

The writer was supposed to be writing Halsey’s biopic, but instead, the couple fell in love. Halsey captioned one tweet with “bc alev was supposed to be writing it the past 3 years and we slowly fell in love instead. you know the rest!”

The pair are very much in love and have known each other for several years. The couple likely started dating in 2020.
Amidst speculation that their pregnancy wasn’t planned, Halsey also shared with her fans that their baby was a planned pregnancy and knew they would start a family together.
“My pregnancy was 100% planned, and I tried very hard for this bb. But I would be just as happy even if it were another way.”
