Gwyneth Paltrow was spotted looking pretty glum as she arrived at the JFK airport with a Chanel Graffiti handbag.

There is definitely a lot on her plate right now — the “conscious uncoupling” from beau Chris Martin and the recent backlash she has received after comparing her struggles with nasty Internet comments to, get this, war.

But controversy aside, we just can’t help but put the spotlight on her striking Chanel tote.
Yes, that distressed-looking purse she was holding was actually Chanel. And it costs a whopping $3,800!

The Chanel Graffiti tote is from the brand’s Spring/Summer 2014 collection, which features a lot of distressed, raw-looking pieces far from the usual Chanel aesthetic that we all love.
The spray-painted Graffiti tote features paint splotches, rope detailing, and an overall edgy streetwear vibe.
While the signature interlocking Cs are still present, they do not look like the usual gold-toned hardware from the classic quilted flap bags.
To put it simply, the bag lacks the sophistication of the traditional Chanel purse. And for almost $4,000, this edgy purse may just be pushing it a little too much!
