We often think of people swinging from chandeliers at parties, but Gemma Chan took it to a new level at the MET Gala.
Her quirky chandelier-inspired look featured a structural silhouette with a box-like waistline.
The bodice was decked out in sparkling sequins, while the structured skirt featured a black net, silver disc embellishments, and a leg-baring high slit that showed off her gladiator-inspired open-toe stilettos.

A cropped jacket was heavily embroidered with crystals and sequins, putting a twist on the classic leather jacket.
Chosen by stylist Rebecca Corbin-Murray, Gemma Chan’s New York City-inspired cape is from Louis Vuitton’s Cruise 2020 collection, while her gown is from the French luxury fashion house’s Spring/Summer 2022 runway show.
While we can see a nod to the gilded age, this runway-inspired look gives it a more contemporary twist.

Hairstylist Owen Gould styled the Captain Marvel actress’ tresses in slicked side-parted waves, while makeup artist Daniel Martin used L’Oreal products to enhance her features.
Adding an exciting touch to the Gilded Age look, nail Artist Betina Goldstein created Gemma’s chrome nails with a silver chain nail bracelet using products from CND.
