In an interview with Epic Reads, Lily revealed it’s her favorite tattoo, symbolizing her growth and strength, countering perceptions of fragility. The tattoo’s placement on her foot feels grounding and reminds her of her resilience whenever she walks.
I love all of them so much! But my favorite is the one on my foot. It’s a rose, and on the stem it says “the nature of this flower is to bloom” and it has a little petal falling off. I read it in a poem and I thought that it was really inspirational because just like the nature of the flower I’m named after, I too will grow and blossom into a woman. The petal falling off represents that sometimes people think I’m really delicate and small and fragile, yet really, I’m strong and resilient like a rose. Having it on my foot feels grounding so I see it every time I walk.
