Celebrating the entertainment industry’s most philanthropic women, Variety honored Drew Barrymore, alongside Amanda Seyfried, Camila Cabello, Kim Cattrall, Venus Williams, and Queen Latifah, at the publication’s annual Power of Women dinner last week.

In her speech, the 47-year-old actress praised those who “prioritize action over words.”
She spoke about her chosen charity, World Central Kitchen, a non-profit organization devoted to providing meals to victims of natural disasters.
Adam Sandler’s good friend honored its founder Jose Andres and the “scrappy people” who are ready to “get down on the god damn floor” and help people in need.
“When I look at Jose Andres, the reason I’m drawn to World Central Kitchen is because he says, ‘I’m sorry, but tomorrow is not OK. It’s today.’ And I love those scrappy people! I have always been one of those scrappy people. If you see somebody like doing this,” (Drew suddenly got down on the floor) “get down on the god damn floor with them and start picking stuff up! Just get in there and do it.”

Like Amanda Seyfried and Sarah Silverman, the Charlie’s Angels star also addressed the Supreme Court’s draft decision to overturn Roe v Wade.
“Yesterday, I couldn’t stop crying at just everything and the state of the world,” she said.
“And today, my daughter walked in, and she said, ‘Mom, I have a mission.’ And she read me a four-page speech that she wrote, and she’s going to crusade to lower the age of voting rights to 16. And she spoke about women’s rights, and I just sat there with my jaw open, just so relieved, so happy that she is this person.”

Drew has the word ‘BREATHE’ tattooed on her left forearm and her wrist.
“I find that even though it’s on my wrist and even though I need to do it survive, I forget to breathe I don’t think I’ve ever reacted in a situation, especially that’s tense or heightened, after taking a deep breath that I wasn’t better than the way I would have reacted if I hadn’t taken that breath,” she said in an interview about the tattoo that’s supposed to keep her calm and focused.

Drew took to the stage in a Giambattista Valli spring floral dress, available for $4,800 at Saks Fifth Avenue. The breezy green silk maxi features flowy cape sleeves, a jewel neck, a back zip closure, and a floor-sweeping ruffled hem.
Drawing all the attention to her elegant dress, the rich actress kept her accessories understated. She wore just a pair of crystal drop earrings, a silver watch, and a ring and carried a pale pink clutch.
Drew also kept her beauty look simple as she wore minimal makeup with soft pink lipstick and styled her wavy tresses in a half-up, half-down style.

The award-winning actress then rounded out the look by adding a pop of color with her red Amina Muaddi pointed-toe pumps.
