It has begun, people. The Prada flame sandals that we all went crazy over here on YNS back in early February are now being spotted on celebrities both left and right.

From Anna Dello Russo to Katy Perry and now to Fergie, these sandals are fast on their way to becoming one of the most photographed shoes of the season.
It’s almost to the point that I’m already getting tired of them. Like when we spotted them on Katy Perry, they started looking more and more like a novelty to me, and here on Fergie, they’re downright costumey.
Well, Fergie did wear them as part of a sort-of costume — she wore the Prada flame wedge sandals in green to cap off this head-to-toe green ensemble she wore right on St. Patrick’s Day last Saturday. She was joined on the red carpet by her younger sister Dana Ferguson.

Green has never been my color but I do love the trendy gold collar necklace and the edgy gold clutch Fergie paired with her all-green outfit.
Fergie’s Prada wedge sandals also have a hint of “gold” (or more specifically, yellow) to them as you can see in this close-up shot:

Fergie’s sandals are the green and yellow version of this red and white color:

This one is closer to its colorway but features a jeweled toe and the taillight detail at the back:

I may be getting tired of this shoe but I’m still amazed not only by how Prada released this shoe exactly as it was on the runway but also by how many colors and versions they made available to the buying public.
