It’s no secret that Elizabeth Banks loves to keep herself ultra fashionable for appearances.
It’s where the actress gets to display her styling prowess. She does not disappoint, of course. Each time she sashays onto the red carpet, she looks awesome.
Off duty, however, Elizabeth isn’t always as dolled up. She favors jeans over skirts and prefers a more laid-back style than anything else. Late last month, right before her Hunger Games co-star Philip Seymour Hoffman was found dead due to a drug overdose, Elizabeth was spotted arriving at LAX while clad in garb that could only be labeled as simple yet elegantly tough and cool.
The famous film actress wore black skinnies and a navy sweater for the plane ride, then capped off the outfit with rugged mid-calf boots and a color-blocked scarf. Check out Elizabeth’s outfit and tell us if you approve:

Well, do you think she looks good? Or does her raggy scarf look out of place? Do you wish she had on a different piece instead, maybe a printed one with vibrant colors?
Yes, we agree. Elizabeth looks a little too cool for her neck warmer. However, the scarf doesn’t look bad, either. It’s just, well, a bit too ordinary. If it were up to us, this beautifully-printed piece from Carven would have done wonders for her outfit:

Earlier this week, Elizabeth expressed her shock over Philip Seymour Hoffman’s death while appearing on “Today” to promote her latest flick, The Lego Movie, saying she’s “still processing” his passing.
Also, we found Elizabeth wrapped in the same tri-colored scarf again while grabbing coffee just yesterday.
She wore the piece with a leather vest and black over-the-knee boots this time. The outfit was promising but also bordered on ordinary. A more polished-looking scarf would have given her ensemble more impact.
