Many beautiful women in Tinseltown gathered at the Beverly Hills Hotel on Thursday for the 6th Annual Essence Black Women in Hollywood Luncheon.
During this event, which celebrates African-American women in music, film, and television, celebrities including Kelly Rowland, Naomi Campbell, Naomie Harris, Mara Brock Akil, and Gabrielle Union stood out in their stunning dresses.
Check out what these lovely ladies wore. Who do you think was the best dressed?
1. Kelly Rowland in Fendi Resort 2013 Dress
The 32-year-old recording artist was on-trend in her color-blocking look. The yellow/navy Fendi Resort 2013 dress was perfect for the luncheon, but we couldn’t help but be disappointed that she didn’t go with something a little more daring.
We all know she has a bold fashion sense, but she kept her ensemble chic and minimal this time. Of course, Kelly looked stunning as usual, and we applaud her for shining in such an appropriate outfit for the event.

2. Naomie Harris in Monique Lhuillier Resort 2013 Dress
Here’s another on-trend look worn by Bond girl Naomie Harris, who received the Lincoln Shining Star Award.
Her dress is dominant white with a mirrored floral pattern in bright spring colors. While the dress was perfect, her footwear, a pair of boots by Stuart Weitzman, didn’t quite complement. We think a pair of dainty sandals would have matched her chic and girly vibes much better.

3. Naomi Campbell in Azzedine Alaia Dress
‘The Face’ coach slash judge Naomi Campbell looked sweet and sassy in her Azzedine Alaia dress.
It appears to be in a light pink/cream shade and features perforations at the bodice down to the pleated skirt. Perfectly completing her look were her Alaia gladiator sandals, which added a refreshing touch of edge to the ensemble.

4. Gabrielle Union in Versace Dress
40-year-old Gabrielle Union, who took home the Fierce & Fearless Award, looked lovely in a vintage-looking green Versace dress.
The gown, with its woven shining fabric, showcases a mod-inspired geometric pattern that looks incredible on this fierce actress. Though her black sandals were a little plain for our taste, we can’t deny that she looked stunning in her outfit.

5. Mara Brock Akil in Peter Pilotto Mini Dress
Last but not least, Mara Brock Akil, honored with the Visionary Award, looked stylish in a printed Peter Pilotto dress.
The multicolored printed silk-blend dress has a seersucker effect and gathered panels at the skirt. Are you a fan? Printed dresses are so in vogue, and we think Mara looked trendy and playful in her patterned dress paired with Jimmy Choo sandals.
