Emma Stone, who took home the Oscar for Best Actress for her performance in La La Land in 2017, is up for another nomination in the same category, this time for her role as Bella Baxter in Poor Things. In addition, she is also nominated for Best Picture for producing the sci-fi black comedy.
This makes Emma Stone the second woman in Oscar history to receive nominations for Best Picture and Best Actress for the same film, following Frances McDormand, who took home both awards for Nomadland in 2021.
Poor Things received the second-highest number of nominations, 11, trailing Oppenheimer with 13, at the 96th Academy Awards, which will take place at the Dolby Theatre on March 10.

Emma Stone appeared on Good Morning America and The Late Show on Tuesday with Stephen Colbert to discuss her two Oscar nominations.
Since becoming a Louis Vuitton ambassador in 2017, Stone’s frequent appearances in Louis Vuitton clothing are no longer surprising.
Masculine Meets Feminine in Louis Vuitton Shirt and Midi Skirt
For her appearance on Good Morning America, Emma Stone opted to mix masculine with feminine pieces.
She wore the French fashion house’s $1,510 Masculine Flap Pocket Shirt cut from ice blue washed cotton toile. It featured details such as a pointed collar, buttoned cuffs, a curved hemline that alluded to more formal styles, and pleated flap chest pockets that evoked a structured uniform.
The Zombieland actress tucked her menswear-inspired shirt into the $2,900 caramel-colored double-face wool-silk blend midi skirt by Louis Vuitton. This timeless skirt featured brass buttons down the center, a Monogram motif lining, and a high waistline with topstitching that added subtle textural detail to the classic design.

Outside the studio, Emma was seen looking cozy in the $7,300 Louis Vuitton Rounded Lapel camel coat. It was a classic coat made of 100% camel hair in caramel color with a double-breasted, straight-cut silhouette, classic flap pockets, a Monogram silk twill lining, and rounded lapels for a touch of contemporary flair.
She completed her cozy winter ensemble with cognac knee-high boots from the iconic fashion house.
Made from velvety suede, the $2,310 “Donna” high boots boast a ‘70s-inspired silhouette, first exhibited at Louis Vuitton’s Fall/Winter 2022 fashion show. They stand out for their sleek, tubular design, finished with a rear loop in patent Monogram canvas and a high block heel, boosting Stone’s 5’6” frame.

Petra Flannery put together Emma’s warm yet elegant winter ensemble, adding diamond and gold Tiffany & Co. jewelry as the finishing touches.
Emma layered the $13,000 Medium Link 18k yellow gold necklace around her neck and fastened the $4,450 T1 18k yellow gold hoop earrings, which have beveled edges traced with round brilliant-cut diamonds, to her ears.
Emma Stone glammed up for her TV appearance, wearing red lipstick with peachy blush. She rounded out her look with a wavy red bob and a pair of black sunnies.

Emma Stone Dazzles in a Louis Vuitton Tweed Skirt Suit
Emma changed out of her cozy daytime ensemble for a dressier evening look for her guest appearance on The Late Show with Stephen Colbert later that day.
Braving the winter chill, the Cruella star donned a black tweed skirt suit by Louis Vuitton.
She paraded her legs in the A-line mini skirt crafted from refined black tweed trimmed with tone-on-tone bias tape. It had two front pockets, a gold-tone zipper, and a Monogram pull for a metallic accent.
Emma teamed the thigh-grazing mini with its matching blazer, tailored from refined black tweed with metallic threads. It had a detachable satin scarf that gave the collar a sophisticated touch and shiny gold buttons that added a chic metallic accent to the double-breasted jacket.

Emma wrapped her slim legs in sheer black tights before putting on a timeless pair of pointed-toe black patent pumps.
She wore the same glam and completed her classy evening look with the $2,500 Tiffany & Co. Tiffany Knot Double Row Ring in yellow gold and the $14,400 Tiffany HardWear Elongated Link Necklace.

A Surreal Dream: Emma Stone’s Reaction to 2 Oscar Nominations
Emma Stone is certainly living the Hollywood dream.
Following last week’s 2024 Oscar Nominations Announcement, Emma released a statement describing Poor Things’ 11 Academy Award nods as “a surreal dream.”
“11 Nominations for Poor Things feels like a surreal dream. I am beyond grateful to the Academy for including me as both an actress and producer among this group of exceptional nominees and for recognizing our film in so many categories.”
“The team of artists who contributed to Poor Things gave it everything and I am forever thankful for the opportunity to play Bella and see the world through her eyes. She has shown me that life is so much more than just sugar and violence.”

In her recent appearance on Good Morning America, Stone talked candidly about earning two Oscar nods for Poor Things.
“I’m so grateful and I feel so lucky,” she told the hosts. “The best picture thing … we worked on this movie for such a long time, and for the whole crew of this film and the cast, we’re very excited.”
Bella Baxter Is Emma Stone’s Favorite Role
In her GMA interview, Emma Stone revealed that Bella Baxter is her favorite character out of all the ones she has portrayed, but she made it clear that that is somewhat unfair.
“I absolutely love her. Although I’ve said that many times now and I feel like it’s a little bit unfair because I think that the characters I’ve been lucky enough to play have been the perfect character for that time in my life.”

“I think that Bella was my absolute favorite at this point in my life because she’s so free. She’s without judgment — self-judgment or judgment of others. She’s just taking in every element of life to the fullest. So it was a really beautiful thing to experience.”
