There was a time when fashion mavens would cringe at the idea of wearing two denim pieces in one outfit. The horror!
These days, though, wearing denim jeans and one other denim piece seems like a totally acceptable idea. The double denim trick can be easy to pull off. Actress Kelly Brook showed us one way of doing it right.

The 34-year-old stepped out to Whole Foods Market clad in cropped skinny jeans and a Rails Harper denim button-down shirt. The shade of blue denim shirt Kelly chose made this look just right.
It’s not exactly the same as the jeans, but it’s close enough to make the look cohesive. The plaid print detail on the shirt ensured that the look wasn’t excessively denim.

The silhouette also works. The shirt falls over the hips and isn’t too baggy to look sloppy.
Moreover, the jeans fit Kelly like a glove. Cropped skinny jeans work great when trying out the double denim look because, unlike their loose counterparts, they provide a more petite silhouette.
Because denim on denim can be a tad overwhelming, the TV presenter did an excellent job keeping the styling simple. The classic pair of red-brown booties and the chain-strapped crossbody bag from Chanel are all this look needs.
Without excessive accessorizing, this outfit boasts a clean and summery vibe, great for warm and sunny days.
