We spotted Diane Kruger looking quite youthful and exciting last week. The actress and several of her co-stars attended the photocall of her new movie, Farewell, My Queen (French: Les Adieux à la reine), in Berlin.

Fashion Spotlight: Diane Kruger’s Eclectic Ensemble
The blonde beauty not only donned an interesting and playful dress from 10 Crosby by Derek Lam, but she also capped it off stylishly with a pair of bejeweled yellow sandals from none other than Giuseppe Zanotti:

Diane Kruger’s Playful Style: Mixing Patterns with Elegance
What do you think of Diane’s outfit? Very unusual indeed, but in an excellent way. It’s actually a skirt and dress combo, with the hem of the green dress still peeking out.

Do you think it could work for you as well? Can you and would you rock this skirt-over-dress get-up and work it?
Styling Tips: Embracing the Skirt-Over-Dress Trend
Mix stripes with something solid if you’d love to try but don’t want to look too adventurous. And then, once you get the hang of it, you can move on to mixing two patterns a la Diane.
Also, don’t forget to work within the same color palette. And lastly, make sure you pick a dress that is not only a few inches (around 2 inches maximum) longer than the skirt but one with a slim (or at least not so full-skirted) silhouette as well, because what you want to avoid is too much fabric bunching together underneath your skirt.
Statement Footwear: Diane Kruger’s Giuseppe Zanotti Sandals
We’re not exactly sure if we can pull off such a look, but we are quite certain that we love the yellow heels she paired it with. Those Giuseppe Zanotti sandals are simply exquisite!
The shoes are from Zanotti’s Spring 2012 Collection. The style isn’t available online yet, but a slightly similar variant in a heel-less wedge design can now be found:

Celebrity Style Comparison: Angela Simmons in Giuseppe Zanotti
Angela Simmons was actually spotted in the above pair at Betsey Johnson’s Fall 2012 show. She paired it with a pink pleated babydoll dress and a silver clutch:

The heel-less sandals retail at $2,140, so expect Diane’s yellow shoes to run about the same.
If you don’t mind spending that much money on shoes, wait a few months for Zanotti to release that style. Or you can go ahead and buy those blue wedges instead.
