When celebrating the International Day of Happiness, what better way to do it than to show off your inspirational “Let Go & Let God” foot tattoos in glee-inspiring shoes?
Demi Lovato did just that as she stopped by the New York United Nations headquarters on the holiday in order to promote the “Small Smurfs Big Goals” campaign.

Demi recognized the work of young students with “Smurfs: The Lost Village” co-stars Mandy Patinkin and Joe Manganiello as the three presented the key to Smurfs Village to the three young advocates of the campaign.

The 24-year-old actress and singer glowed in a white mini dress from Jill Stuart, which featured a sleeveless design, a high neckline, and a flared skirt.

Demi added a playful element to her look with a personalized “Flavia” clutch from Edie Parker, which had the word “Smurfette” emblazoned in blue on the front.
She completed her ensemble with a side-swept bob, glossy pink lips, and showed off her foot tattoos in “Darcie” sandals from Giuseppe Zanotti. While she’s never spoken publicly about their meaning, Demi has the words “Let Go & Let God” inked across her feet.
The Barney & Friends actress also has several finger tattoos and flying birds inked on her forearm.

Mandy Patinkin donned an all-black ensemble for his visit to the UN headquarters, and Joe Manganiello wore a navy Ted Baker suit and black dress shoes.

Celebrations for the International Day of Happiness culminated in a special event at the Empire State Building. Demi continued to promote the “Small Smurfs Big Goals” campaign and her film “Smurfs: The Lost Village.”

Joe Manganiello also joined the festivities alongside Demi and officials of United Nations and UNICEF, looking dapper in a grey suit with a crisp white shirt, a black coat, and brown leather shoes.
