Fashion rules have changed, and many rule books no longer include that one rule previously deemed essential—legs or cleavage, never both. The trick these days is to walk the fine line between sensual and slutty, and Daisy Edgar-Jones did exactly that at the GQ Men of the Year Awards 2023.

The 25-year-old actress, whose parents are actors Philip and Edgar-Jones, flaunted her cleavage and entire sternum by wearing a plunging white Gucci blouse with long sleeves for a hint of modesty. The V-neckline created an illusion of an elongated torso, flattering the actress’ figure.

Daisy paraded her long legs by pairing her sophisticated white top with thigh-skimming black shorts, showing off plenty of flesh in a stylish manner.

Standing 5-foot-6, Daisy further enhanced her sensual look with black leather heels designed with pointed toes and crystal-embellished slingback straps.

When it came to her accessories, Daisy carried the $1,750 Gucci “Jackie 1961” Super Mini Bag in black leather with a gold-tone piston strap closure, an iconic feature from the Italian luxury fashion house.

It also featured microfiber lining with a suede-like finish, a top handle with a 2.7-inch drop, and a chain shoulder strap with a 22.4-inch drop, which Edgar-Jones chose to carry without.

She tied the look together with tiny gold earrings, a chunky gold chain necklace, and a few gold rings.

Opting for a classy finish, Daisy styled her shoulder-length blonde hair in soft waves and wore minimal makeup, applying blush and lipstick in a delicate pink hue.

Daisy’s bold look was reminiscent of the black dress she wore to the Gucci Spring/Summer 2024 runway show during Milan Fashion Week in September.

For the event, Daisy went braless underneath her Spring 2024 sleeveless LBD that featured a wide, sternum-baring plunging V-neckline.

She put on a leggy display in the thigh-grazing dress adorned with gold-tone embellishments on the decorative front pockets, adding a touch of glitz to the otherwise plain ensemble.

At one point on the red carpet, Daisy draped a black blazer over her shoulders for some coverage.

She wore the same Gucci Spring 2024 slingback pumps and carried her essentials in the $3,490 Gucci Horsebit chain small shoulder bag.

In the steamy romantic psychological drama Normal People, Daisy Edgar-Jones achieved overnight fame during the 2020 lockdown.

She played Marianne Sheridan, a studious but unpopular student who engages in sadistic relationships with men out of a sense of worthlessness stemming from an abusive household.

Her unmistakable acting chops in the Hulu series landed her a major role in the horror thriller film Fresh and in the Reese Witherspoon-produced mystery drama movie Where the Crawdads Sing.

In a previous interview with Screen Daily, Daisy talked about her desire to work as a producer and director in the future.

“I love every aspect of filmmaking, so I think producing would be so magical because I would get to learn about the whole process. I love asking why a DOP has chosen to shoot something with a particular lens; I love the music that imbues a scene with a whole different meaning.”

“Definitely I would love to direct at some point too—I’d love to do it all really! The more I do this, the more I realize it is very much a filmmaker’s medium, and therefore being very filmmaker-led is a very valuable thing.”
