Daisy Edgar-Jones is a star in the making, and she indeed shone brightly at the Vanity Fair Oscars after-party on Sunday.
After making waves at the Golden Globes as a nominee for her supporting role in Under the Banner of Heaven, the 24-year-old British actress made a bold statement with her fashion choice, wearing a racy see-through gown that turned heads and left a lasting impression.

A Bold Fashion Statement in Gucci
The Gucci dress, part of the brand’s Autumn ’23 collection, featured a nude bodysuit with a black see-through overlay embellished with diamonds and crystals from top to bottom.
Her glittering dress had a high neckline and bulky collar encrusted with diamonds and crystals, which added a touch of elegance to the bold design. Daisy carried it off with confidence and grace.
Styled by Nicky Yates, the actress spun her magic among the A-list crowd. She paired the dress with tall, black Gucci strappy sandals that perfectly complemented the look.
Minimalist Elegance: Daisy’s Style and Accessories
Daisy’s choice of accessories was minimal- she wore a Vacheron Constantin watch and delicate Cartier drop-shaped earrings- but they were enough to add a touch of sophistication to her ensemble.
The actress opted for natural makeup and an updo with her brown hair, letting the fringe frame her delicate features.

From Screen to Style Icon: Daisy Edgar-Jones’s Journey
Apart from her stunning fashion choices, Daisy has been making waves in the entertainment industry with her exceptional talent.
The budding actress had her acting debut in 2022 when she portrayed the lead character of Marianne alongside Paul Mescal as Connell in Sally Rooney’s Normal People. She subsequently went on to star in Fresh and Where the Crawdads Sing.
An Unlikely Path to Acting
In an interview with Elle UK in July 2022, Daisy disclosed that her mother didn’t want her to pursue a career as an actor.
Wendy and Philip, Daisy’s parents, were both working in the television industry – Wendy was an editor, while Philip is currently the head of Sky Arts. When Daisy decided she wanted to be an actor at age 15, her mother suggested she go for an audition at the National Youth Theatre.
Daisy shared, “I think she kind of hoped I wouldn’t get in. Not in a mean way – just because it’s a really hard job.”

Embracing Resilience in the Acting World
She continued addressing her current acting career and industry resilience, saying, “As an actor, you have to be resilient. If I have a bad day at work, it’s judged by a lot of people, and I have to live with it forever. But I still have to make brave choices to have a shot at making something remarkable.”
