Chloë Grace Moretz Takes on a New Role in ‘Neighbors 2’
She stars as college student Shelby Robek in the 2016 American comedy film. It is a sequel to the 2014 box office success Neighbors.
“Basically, I found out that Seth Rogen and the boys were interested in working with me. I went to Point Grey and they pitched me the idea for Sorority Rising,” she told Coming Soon about her involvement in the film.
“I was interested and they started to write the script. I gave them a bunch of input. It kind of just went from there.”
Portraying a Strong Female Lead
Portraying the head of a sorority house and the main antagonist of the film, Chloë Grace Moretz was 19 years old when the film premiered on April 26, 2016, in Berlin.

She celebrated her 19th birthday on February 10, 2016, and was 18 when principal photography began on August 31, 2015, in Atlanta, Georgia.
“The first day was an adjustment. I really hadn’t ever done improv that much before and I very quickly realized that every take is an improv, every take is a new idea,” she told Business Insider about having to improvise for her role.
“So I would come prepared with ideas and where they wanted the improv to go. It was being ready on the day to make it up. So it took me a day to understand and then the rest of the movie I was ready to go.”
