Chanel’s runway shows are always highly anticipated during Fashion Week. The house’s exquisite craftsmanship, use of high-end materials, and timeless creations never fail to excite me. In addition, the extravagant installations and high-profile attendees make every Chanel fashion show an event to look forward to!

During the house’s Haute Couture Spring 2025 Paris Fashion Week presentation, Kylie Jenner, Dua Lipa, Lily-Rose Depp, Jennie Kim, and Marion Cotillard were among the famous people who graced the front row. They all looked amazing in their primarily black and white outfits that contrasted with the newest styles from the French luxury fashion house.

Inspired by Chanel founder Gabrielle Chanel’s love of color, Chanel’s latest Haute Couture collection deviates from the house’s signature use of black and white. With spring palettes that range from delicate pastels to the deepest, darkest tones, the collection showcases the fashion designer’s imaginative use of the color spectrum.

Strappy wedges and flats also come in various rainbow colors to complement the clothing collection.

While Chanel’s upcoming line, filled with rich textures and intricate detailing and embroideries, evokes ethereal elegance, the Chanel runway inside the Grand Palais took a more minimalist approach. Inspired by infinite movement, it forms two giant double C’s that outline the infinity symbol, symbolizing the timeless quality of Chanel’s creations.

Kylie Jenner Channels Classic Chanel Girl in Tweed Set and Slingback Pumps

For her front-row debut appearance at the Chanel Haute Couture show in Paris, Kylie Jenner embraced her inner Chanel girl by opting for the classics.

Kylie Jenner stunned in a white tweed jacket and pleated mini skirt from Chanel’s Pre-Fall 2025 collection. I love how she injected her signature daring edge into the iconic Chanel tweed set, choosing a cheerleader-style miniskirt that showed off her legs and a cropped jacket that highlighted her flat abs and added a touch of contemporary elegance.

Chanel’s DNA is embodied in this suit, made from the house’s luxurious boucle tweed. It boasts the classic Chanel collarless jacket elements, like the gold-tone jewel buttons down the middle front, cuffs, and front pockets, providing a sense of elegance and refinement.

“Chanel has an incredible ability to make you feel timeless yet modern at the same time,” she told Vogue. “Every piece tells a story, and there’s always a balance between elegance and edge that resonates with me. It’s not just about the clothes—it’s the craftsmanship, the legacy, and how they make you feel when you wear them. That’s what keeps me coming back.”

Despite her bold accessories, Kylie’s look remained polished, with gold accents adding a touch of refined opulence.

Timothée Chalamet’s girlfriend wore a layered chain belt with gold and pearl charms, Chanel gold metal and strass bangles, and a pair of $4,000 Coco Crush earrings in a quilted motif.

Why not bring two bags when you can’t decide on just one? Kylie did that, throwing a black Chanel bow-trimmed crossbody bag across her torso and carrying a Chanel Vanity bag in one hand.

She shielded her eyes behind Chanel’s $950 Cat Eye sunglasses with gradient lenses and wore her raven tresses in gorgeous waves.

Kylie also wore gold chain anklets, which were huge in the early 2000s. Although I don’t think it’s necessary, I like how the Y2k accessory highlighted her black pumps.

She wore classic Chanel slingback pumps in shiny patent leather, complete with tonal cap toes, a side cutout, and a 3-inch block heel with a logo metal accent.

Chanel’s iconic two-tone slingback pumps have long been a staple in the fashion world, seamlessly blending elegance with versatility. Celebrities like Nicky Hilton have been spotted embracing these timeless designs, pairing them effortlessly with various ensembles.

For those interested in the latest trends, the 2025 shoe scene is seeing a resurgence of pointed-toe slingbacks, offering a modern twist to this classic silhouette. If you’re considering adding a pair to your collection, it’s essential to ensure their authenticity.

Dua Lipa Embraces Mysterious Coquette Charm in a Black Cape and Peep-toe Heels

Dua Lipa loves a daring, modern look. At the Chanel fashion show, she displayed her signature style by dressing in black, evoking a mysterious coquette charm.

The Levitating singer wore an outfit from Chanel’s Fall 2024 collection. She couldn’t be missed in her floor-sweeping quilted black cape, giving the look its enigmatic, regal charm. It was fastened with an oversized velvet bow at the neckline for an extra touch of elegance.

Underneath, she wore a black silk satin mini dress with a sheer velvet-trimmed ruffled bodice and a thigh-grazing length. Like Kylie, she styled it with Chanel’s multistrand belt, but hers had strings of pearls, chains, and a bow accent.

Although I’m not entirely sold on her ensemble, I believe it would look uninteresting without the cape. I’d probably ditch the black tights to avoid appearing too gloomy, but I understand they make for an appropriate winter look.

A maximalist dresser, Dua added a touch of glitz and glamour to the all-black ensemble by styling it with $9,800 small Tiffany & Co. Tiffany Victoria platinum earrings and $26,800 large Tiffany Victoria Mixed Cluster platinum earrings.

As the new face of the Chanel 25 bag, she carried it effortlessly. “A variation on the emblematic codes of the house,” it features two large signature side pockets, a chain-and-leather handle, and drawstring closure.

Lipa completed the look’s coquette charm by wearing her hair in a sleek half-up, half-down ponytail styled with another enormous black velvet bow from the Fall 2024 Couture line.

She kept her footwear simple, wearing just a pair of black satin pumps with slender ankle straps, heels, and peep toes showcasing her black pedicure.

A pair of bow pumps would have added a striking touch, but given the already intricate ensemble, a more understated choice might have been the right call.

The coquette aesthetic, characterized by its flirtatious and feminine charm, has been embraced by numerous celebrities, each adding their unique twist to this romantic style.

For instance, Kirsten Dunst showcased a mint green coquette-style Dice Kayek dress during the London screening of Civil War, highlighting her affinity for delicate, vintage-inspired fashion.

Similarly, Ice Spice channeled a coquette goth girl vibe in a black Wiederhoeft LBD at the Billboard Women in Music Awards, blending edginess with coquettish elements.

Lily-Rose Depp Is Very Demure in a Boucle Tweed Outfit and Silver Pumps

This is my least favorite look among the attendees. Lily-Rose Depp wore a vintage-style boucle tweed skirt suit, a departure from her usually sleek and minimalist style. It’s not that I don’t like the outfit; I just thought it was unflattering for The Idol star.

Lily-Rose Depp opted for a vintage-inspired Chanel set, pairing a black, white, and pink tweed jacket with a matching pencil skirt.

Black feather trims around the hem, cuffs, and neck give the jacket a playful yet sophisticated appearance. In contrast, the bejeweled black buttons and crystal decorations around the scoop neck make it even more exquisite.

Similarly, the skirt exudes elegance with chunks of gemstone adornment all over. While they’re an interesting pairing, I don’t think it works for Lily-Rose. The skirt’s length, cut right below her knees, seems unflattering. In my opinion, it makes her 5’5” height seem shorter.

Moreover, the styling was unimpressive. She decided to wear no jewelry other than the $1,700 Chanel Coco Crush quilted 18k white gold ring on her pointy finger. I think a few bracelets or a watch would have elevated the ensemble.

Her blonde locks appeared to be a last-minute preparation, merely swept to the side and falling over her shoulder in waves. She also wore minimal makeup, with two-tone nude lipstick, which didn’t help.

Timothée Chalamet’s ex-girlfriend wore black tights that were darker around the foot. I’m unsure if that’s just how they’re made or if she needs to pull them up further.

Her outfit was completed with a pair of silver satin shoes. They appear basic and classic, with pleated crossover front straps, peep toes, and a Mary Jane strap, but the heels, adorned with faux pearls and gold trims, give them a distinct look. To me, her shoes are the highlight of her ensemble.

Lily-Rose Depp’s enduring relationship with Chanel has solidified her status as a modern fashion icon. Since becoming a brand ambassador in 2015, she has consistently showcased the brand’s timeless elegance.

Notably, at the Cannes Film Festival, Lily-Rose captivated audiences in a Bardot-style Chanel dress, highlighting her impeccable style.

Her appearances at Paris Fashion Week further exemplify her deep connection to the brand, often seen in chic ensembles that pay homage to Chanel’s legacy. Her front-row presence continues to reinforce her role as a muse for the legendary fashion house.

This collaboration between Lily-Rose and Chanel continues to influence contemporary fashion trends, inspiring enthusiasts worldwide.

Jennie Kim Makes a Statement in a Feathered Cape and Platform Pumps

Lily-Rose Depp’s The Idol co-star, Jennie Kim, also graced the front row at Chanel’s Haute Couture presentation.

The K-pop artist has served as Chanel’s brand ambassador since 2017. She was named the face of Chanel Beauty in 2017 and the house’s official global ambassador in 2019, so it makes sense that she gets to sit in the front row. Her outfit, however, looked like she was ready to walk the catwalk.

Like her Blackpink bandmate Jisoo, who sat in the front row at Christian Dior’s show, Jennie had all eyes on her as she showcased her flat abs in nothing but a sheer blue bra and a pair of black low-waist pants. Even though it’s not something everyone can wear, I commend Jennie for her boldness in leaving so little room for imagination.

Her feathered cape, however, gave her an ethereal look and helped hide her modesty to some extent. The upper portion of the baby blue cloak, draped over her shoulders, resembles a bolero adorned with feathers and lace-tiered ruffles. It’s tied at the neck with a sheer black ribbon and dramatically flows into a long sheer cape that sweeps the floor.

Jennie’s dainty belly chain added a Y2K touch to her look. She then accessorized her blue-manicured hands with a few Chanel Coco Crush rings, such as the $4,450 ring with 18 0.34ct brilliant-cut diamonds and the $16,550 small quilted ring in 18k white gold with 120 1.20ct brilliant-cut diamonds.

Jennie wore Chanel’s Spring 2025 two-tone platform shoes to lengthen her 5’3” frame. These pumps have black cap toes and are mostly made of white leather. They sit atop 4-inch block heels and are fastened to the ankles with double-buckled ankle straps.

Unfortunately, we could not see these shoes in their entirety, but they are undoubtedly one of my favorites from the event.

Block heels have become a staple in modern fashion, offering a harmonious blend of style and comfort. Their thicker heel design provides enhanced stability and support, making them a preferred choice for those seeking both elegance and practicality.

Celebrities like Karlie Kloss have been spotted embracing this trend, notably pairing white leather pumps featuring high block heels and exaggerated square toes with chic ensembles.

For those looking to incorporate block heels into their wardrobe, the Steve Madden ‘Carrson’ block heel sandals are a versatile option, featuring a single band across the toe and an adjustable buckle strap at the ankle, suitable for various occasions.

Additionally, the ‘Miss Sabina’ 85mm sandals by Christian Louboutin offer a contemporary feel with their metallic silver open-toe design and slight curve, perfect for spring and summer wear.

Whether you’re aiming for a casual day out or a formal event, block heels provide the perfect balance between fashion-forward aesthetics and all-day comfort.

Marion Cotillard Goes Rebel Chic in Black Mini Dress and Slingback Pumps

Who would’ve thought we’d see a rebellious twist on Chanel’s classic knitted mini-dress? Surprisingly, Marion Cotillard nailed it. Without a doubt, this is one of my favorite outfits from the show!

Marion is turning 50 this year but looks no different than the younger guests in the front row. She even seems younger than some of them, if I may add!

The French actress braved the cold in a black knit sleeveless mini-dress from Chanel’s Pre-Fall 2025 collection. I like its simplicity and classiness, featuring side pockets, ribbed trimmings, and a scoop neck. It is cinched at the waist to highlight her slender figure and cut several inches above her knees, allowing her to parade her slim legs.

Marion wore a black knitted jacket with one side stylishly draped over her arm to stay warm. A simple ensemble elevated by impeccable styling!

Marion gave Chanel’s knit dress a grungy edge with layered black and gold chain necklaces. These include a choker, a leather-and-chain necklace with a logo locket pendant, and a thinner leather-and-chain necklace with a long pendant.

Her smokey eye-makeup and half-up, half-down retro-esque hairstyle enhanced the look’s grungy feel. She also carried a black leather bag with Chanel’s signature gold chain and leather strap that matched her necklaces.

Her black sheer tights enhanced the overall look! The rebel chic combination would have been more edgy-looking with boots, but Marion chose to add a sophisticated touch with slingback pumps that resembled Kylie Jenner’s.

They have rounded toes, a cutaway side, and a short block heel, enough to boost her 5’5 1/2” height.

Marion Cotillard’s enduring relationship with Chanel has produced numerous memorable fashion moments. At the 2023 Met Gala, she made a bold statement with punk pink hair, complementing her vintage Chanel ensemble.

Earlier that year, during the Cannes Film Festival, Cotillard showcased a playful yet sophisticated look in a pink and green set from Chanel’s Resort 2024 collection, paired with denim blue-and-beige shorts and white lace-up booties.

Her collaboration with Chanel reached new heights in 2020 when she became the face of the iconic Chanel No. 5 fragrance, starring in a captivating campaign highlighting her timeless elegance.
