Before the Toronto International Film Festival premiere of 2009’s Up in the Air, she did not have money to buy a pair of Christian Louboutin heels.
“I was not famous, so nobody wanted to lend me shoes, but I was broke,” she shared during a 2017 episode of The Jess Cagle Interview.
“I got talked into spending the money I really didn’t have on a pair of Louboutins. They were $1,000. I still have them. They’re super-sparkly and spangly, but I will never get rid of them because I’m like, ‘I spent my rent on you.'”

“I was angsty about my height when I was younger,” the 5ft 1 (154.9 cm) tall actress revealed in an interview with Esquire in May 2015. “But I love it now. Why wouldn’t you want to be a little compact being?”

“I also think… I used to think that guys preferred tall women. But plenty of them like short girls. Tall girls, short girls. Just any girls, you know?” she added about men who prefer petite women. In interviews, she normally claims to be 5′ 2″ (157 cm).
“I have the advantage of being pretty small, so if I’m flying myself, I’m flying coach. To save the money. I just put in my headphones and it’s no big thing. I keep my head down, wear a hoodie or a hat—but sometimes not even that. I’m small. People miss me,” Kendrick told the magazine about the advantages of being petite.

“When I was younger I specifically wouldn’t wear heels because even in heels I’m still not tall. You know the way you get yourself worked up when you’re a kid? I had this crazy idea that if I wore them people would notice and say, ‘You’re not even tall in heels!’ I committed to flip-flops and sneakers because I was like, ‘I’m short and that’s just what it is, and I don’t want to try and correct something,'” she revealed to Glamour in September 2015.
“If I’m getting dressed up, I want to have legs,” she added about wearing high heels to make her legs look longer.

One of the shortest women in Hollywood, Anna also discussed her height in an interview with Elle in 2012. “I’m 5’2 and being around massive football players makes you wonder if you’re the same species!”
Anna Kendrick Stuns in a Cutout Carven Dress and Louboutin Boots on the Late Show with David Letterman
Not confident about her height as a child, Anna Kendrick sported a sexy little black dress in December 2014 while appearing on Late Show with David Letterman in New York City to promote her new movie musical, Into the Woods.
Adding several inches of height with high heels, the successful movie actress wore a Carven belted dress featuring a large cutout at the chest that highlighted her cleavage.

“It’s a hell of a drug, a hell of a drug,” she told the television host about the sleep aid Ambien. “I just sort of black out the second that I take it, and it’s like, I wake up, and I wake up to a surprise every time — like all my DVDs are in my fridge or something. Surprise!”
“This last time I took it as soon as we took off, and I remember thinking, ‘Ah, I should put on something comfy to sleep in,'” she said.
“And then nothing. And when I woke up, I was wearing everything that was in my carry-on bag, and I had a 90-second video of my salad. Not like an accident — like, I was Scorsese filming this salad.”

“The troubling thing about everything in my carry-on was that I clearly had the thought [to] put on some sweatpants or something — it’s a long flight — but I thought, well, changing would be a hassle,” the Twilight actress told Letterman.
“So it’ll just go straight over the jeans, straight over the boots. So that first layer was the outfit I boarded in, and then sweatpants. And then I guess I must have thought, ‘Well, I like all these clothes. I mean, that’s why I packed them. So I’ll just put them on.'”
Although the dress was rather unexciting, don’t you admire Anna for managing to walk in her Christian Louboutin ankle boots? The black and leopard-print versions are equally stunning.
