Brie Larson was among the celebrities honored with an award on the third day of the 7th Edition of the Filming Italy Sardegna Festival. This annual film festival marks the beginning of Italy’s summer movie season.
During the event, held from June 20 to June 23, Larson was chosen to conduct a master class with Rosario Dawson, Paz Vega, and other celebrities.
Aside from sharing her talents, the 34-year-old actress has also been showing off her elegant, feminine sense of style during her stay at the exclusive Forte Village Resort on Sardinia’s scenic south-east coast.

Brie Larson in Archival John Galliano 2005 Dress
Bringing her classic, feminine style to the red carpet, the Scott Pilgrim vs. the World actress looked stunning in a floral black dress, which, I think, was the ideal interpretation of the dreamy summer look. Larson dug the timeless dress from John Galliano’s Spring 2005 collection.
Perhaps the Captain Marvel star sighed with relief that no one else was dressed exactly like her at the awards ceremony, following what some regarded as a fashion faux pas when she showed up at the festival photocall wearing the same polka-dot outfit as Alexandra Daddario.
Although not my favorite, I adore the fusion of sultriness and feminine glamor in Larson’s red carpet ensemble.

The silk sleeveless black dress features sheer mesh paneling at the décolettage, revealing just the right amount of cleavage. 3D florals with raw, frayed edges and rhinestone accents adorn the flattering form-fitting bodice, beautifully highlighting the dress’s feminine allure and adding subtle brilliance.
The sleeveless dress is lovely, but I would have preferred a straight-column skirt over the tiered casual style. However, considering it dates back to the early 2000s, it was likely fashionable at the time.
The 13 Going on 30 actress usually goes for comfortable silhouettes in neutral hues, so her choice of a classic black-and-white dress for the occasion didn’t surprise me too much.

I applaud her decision to accessorize the dress simply while preserving its elegance. She eschewed a necklace or ornate bangles, allowing the archival dress to take center stage.
Larson didn’t entirely go without any glitz, though. She affixed a tiny pair of $3,800 Anita Ko diamond drop hoop earrings to her ears and adorned her well-groomed hands with a ring, enhancing the look’s sophistication.
I like that she kept her appearance tasteful by going with a minimal beauty look, care of makeup artist Yukari Obayashi Bush. She added a dab of blush and lipstick and accentuated her brown eyes with mascara, eyeliner, and subtle bronze eyeshadow. Her hair, styled by Christopher Farmer, flowed loosely over her shoulders, neatly parted on one side.

Brie perfectly paired her monochromatic outfit with the black Gia Borghini “Honorine” mules, which complemented her ladylike tulle dress. These mules are crafted from black satin, making them a great base for styling with any outfit. Wide bows adorn the vamps, giving them a feminine touch.
They are finished with pointed open toes and heels measuring about 3.3 inches, boosting her 5’7” height. A black leather version of these mules sells for $338, down from $398, at Farfetch.

Summery in a Green Dress and Woven Raffia Pumps
Earlier in the day, the Community star graced the festival’s third-day photocall, looking more youthful than ever in a green dress that made me think of nightgowns and slip dresses.
Featuring tonal floral embroidery along the thick shoulder straps and plunging V-neckline, the dress is simple but chic for the warm summer weather in Italy. It drapes loosely over Brie’s figure, giving the impression of a slip-dress.
It also has decorative visible seams and floral embroideries along the gently ruffled skirt, which ends just a few inches below her knees.

Choosing to keep things classy, the minimalist dresser accessorized her green dress with the same diamond and gold ring and Anita Ko 16ct. diamond huggies with 4ct. diamond drops. Still, I believe adding a necklace or a bracelet wouldn’t hurt.
A pair of woven raffia pumps—which, as we all know, are quite hot in the summer—made the ensemble interesting. These are airy, versatile summertime shoes with pointy toes, two-tone braided raffia, and around 3-inch black block heels.
