Founded in 1985, Via Spiga is named after Via della Spiga, one of Milan’s top shopping streets, forming the northeast boundary of the luxurious Quadrilatero della Moda (literally, “fashion quadrilateral”).
In other words, Via Spiga is the name of a street, not a person. In August 2020, the brand’s parent company, Caleres, announced that it would be “pausing” operations at Via Spiga as it “repositions” the label.
This means that Via Spiga products are no longer available, and the brand’s website and social media channels have been shut down.
Where Are Via Spiga Shoes Made?
Founded in 1985, the brand was known for its stylish and high-quality footwear designs, particularly for women, and it gained a reputation for its Italian-inspired fashion.
The company had a factory in Italy. While approximately 50% of the company’s products were made there, some shoes were produced in Brazil and China.
What Company Owns Via Spiga?
The shoe brand is owned by Caleres, an American footwear company that also operates Sam Edelman, CARLOS by Carlos Santana, and Fergie Footwear.

After Vanessa Hudgens seemingly developed an addiction to the gym and everything healthy, her traditional favorite boho-chic outfits were slowly replaced with convenient athleisure outfits.

We’re not sure if Vanessa is channeling this style again for fall, but one thing is sure: the girl is in her element when you dress her in boho.
If you’re not convinced, watch her flip her dress around — with a glass of champagne. Vanessa’s Via Spiga “Varsha” platform sandals are no longer available online.
