There are major court cases going on in Hollywood right now, one of them between Blac Chyna and the Kardashian-Jenner family. We’ve got all you need to know on this case, including the background and updates.
Who Is Blac Chyna?
Black Chyna is a model and reality TV star. She has appeared in rap music videos like “Monster” by Kanye West and was name-dropped in rap songs like “Miss Me” by Drake.
She was in a relationship with the rapper Tyga for a period of time, and the two had a child together.

Chyna has been on a variety of reality television shows, including her own called The Real Black Chyna, as well as Tokyo Toni’s Finding Love ASAP!, and Love & Hip-Hop: Hollywood.
Despite all of her credentials, her biggest claim to fame is her relationship with the Kardashian family.
Blac Chyna’s Relationship With the Kardashians
Blac Chyna has had a relationship with the Kardashians for many years, and it has spun into a complicated web.
She first became friends with Kim Kardashian and appeared on episodes of Keeping Up with the Kardashians because of it. Kim Kardashian would occasionally post photos on Instagram of the two.

The web became even more complicated when Chyna began dating Rob Kardashian, Kim Kardashian’s brother. Chyna and Rob Kardashian dated for many years, and the two have a daughter together.
To add to the complication, Chyna’s ex-boyfriend and father to her first child, Tyga, was in a relationship with Rob Kardashian’s younger sister, Kylie Jenner.
Jenner had a relationship with Chyna’s son while dating Tyga, and her relationship with the rapper effectively ended Kim Kardashian and Chyna’s friendship.
Where Things Went Sour
Despite her difficult relationship with the Kardashian-Jenner family, Chyna stayed with Rob Kardashian for quite some time, and the two were given their own spinoff of Keeping Up with the Kardashians called Rob & Chyna, which aired on E! Network.
“Miss White wanted something,” the Kardashian family’s lawyer Michael Rhodes said on April 19. Blac Chyna’s real name is Angela Renée White and she’s the daughter of Shalana Jones-Hunter and Eric Holland.
“She wanted to be one of them…She wanted that name. The evidence is going to show you that Miss White would say or do anything to be part of this family.”

The show only lasted for one season, and Chyna blamed the Kardashian family for canceling her show.
Chyna had a very tumultuous relationship with Rob Kardashian, with allegations of abuse coming from both sides.
This, coupled with the cancellation of her show, has created animosity between Chyna and the Kardashian-Jenners.
Why She Is Suing Them
Now Blac Chyna and the Kardashian-Jenners are in the middle of a legal trial. Chyna is suing the Kardashian-Jenners for defamation, claiming that they ruined her reality television career.

She is also suing Rob Kardashian for assault, battery, and harassment, and is seeking over $100 million in damages from the suits.
Court Updates
The trial has been dramatic and full of revealing insights into the relationship between Chyna and the Kardashian-Jenners.

Chyna took the stand to share what she sees as playful behavior, claiming that she was “joking” when she strangled her then-boyfriend Rob Kardashian with a phone charger cord. She also supposedly pointed an unloaded gun at Kardashian, although she denies this claim.
“It was not loaded,” Chyna testified in court on April 20 about the incident that took place in 2016. “I would never shoot Rob or anyone at that. It was just joking, like, ‘HA, HA!’”

Chyna revealed several other details, as did Rob Kardashian‘s mother Kris Jenner when she took the stand, claiming that Chyna threatened Kylie Jenner’s safety. She also claimed Chyna attempted murder on her son.
The trial is ongoing, and there are sure to be more bombshells dropped as more members of the family testify.

In July 2016, Blac Chyna seemed more than comfortable with the spotlight.
She and her then-fiancé Rob Kardashian were spotted out-and-about, rumored to be working on their own reality television show.
The visibly pregnant Chyna arrived at a studio in Van Nuys to film interviews. She had King — her son with rapper Tyga — in tow as well.

Chyna put her own spin on maternity wear by slipping into a sleeved bodycon dress, a pair of Nike “Free 5.0” sneakers, and a fisherman’s hat.
Her maternity style was nothing like Kim Kardashian’s.

The then 28-year-old definitely dressed down and took a break from her usual wigs, heavy makeup, and cutout fitted dresses to make her trip to the studio.

Blac Chyna got past her initial look of dishevelment and put herself in the hands of her glam team for the first green screenshot with Rob Kardashian.
