Beyoncé was the big winner at the 2016 CFDA Fashion Awards, having bagged the highly coveted Fashion Icon Award for herself.
While we very much acknowledge and respect Bey’s massive influence in fashion (and music, and beauty, and the entire pop culture), we can’t help but note how tacky of an outfit she chose to wear to the awards event dubbed as “The Oscars of Fashion.”
Seemingly still in a Michael Jackson style phase, the 34-year-old entertainer wore a sparkly-striped Givenchy suit reminiscent of the King of Pop.
On her head was a wide-brimmed hat that was so big, it cast face-obscuring shadows on her. It didn’t help that Bey decided to keep the hat on the entire evening, even when she received her award and gave her acceptance speech.
We usually like glimpsing shoes beneath a gown or a loose-leg pantsuit, but Beyonce’s Christian Louboutin “Marlenalta” pumps with thick platforms appear too clunky for her look.
