It’s amazing what affordable shoe brands can do now, like take the one-of-a-kind, limited edition and very expensive Iris Van Herpen X United Nude ‘Iris’ shoe and turn it into something more attainable.
If you lusted after that shoe after seeing it on Kim Kardashian and fashion blogger Tess Pare-Mayer but dismissed it after seeing its $1,300 price tag, then you’ll love this lookalike from Bettie Page. Meet the ‘Zilla’, the 90% less expensive version of the Iris Van Herpen x United Nude ‘Iris’ shoe.
‘Zilla’ slashed and twisted platform booties, $115.95 at Amazon
Having the original shoe is always nice and all but this is one of those times when I like the knockoff better. I like how the ‘Zilla’ has the twisted straps just going down the middle instead of curving towards the inside toe. I like how it sits lower at the ankle so it doesn’t cut off so much height. I like how it’s a little less clunky and I even like the leopard print on the bottom of the sole.
Do you think these shoes are a great look-for-less version or do you think these are a total ripoff of an original and exclusive design?
