We’ve been spoiled by many amazing dresses throughout this awards season so far, so we naturally had lofty standards when it came time for this year’s Brit Awards. Sadly, nearly everyone had us turning away from our screens.

From boring dresses to cringe-worthy outfits, this event was a terrible disappointment in the fashion department. We can only count the looks we like on one hand.

Best-Dressed at the Brit Awards 2017

1. Rita Ora Shines in Alexandre Vauthier’s Sultry Olive Gown

This particular shade of olive wasn’t the best for a head-to-toe look, but we like this embellished gown from Alexandre Vauthier’s Fall 2016 collection on the singer because it gave her a sultry look.

The best look of the night was Katy Perry’s Atelier Versace ensemble. The sparkly dress and the matching blazer are from the Spring 2017 collection.

3. Nicole Scherzinger Stuns in a Nicolas Jebran Blazer Dress

We preferred the singer’s after-party look, but this Nicolas Jebran Fall 2017 blazer dress, matched with thigh-high boots, made a statement on the red carpet.

The model looked effortlessly chic in this long-sleeved fit-and-flare frock, perfectly paired with classic strappy pumps for a polished finish.

1. Ellie Goulding’s Philipp Plein Gown Misses the Mark

The “Love Me Like You Do” singer’s Philipp Plein Pre-Fall 2017 halter gown would have looked great on her without the unflattering fit. We also think the bodice’s chain details were very uninspired. She completed her outfit with black “Maureen” pumps from Malone Souliers.

2. Abbey Clancy’s Haider Ackerman Look Sparks Regret

Abbey Clancy makes a statement in a bold black-and-white striped mini dress, paired with sleek ankle-strap heels for a striking red carpet look Abbey Clancy makes a statement in a bold black-and-white striped mini dress paired with sleek ankle-strap heels for a striking red carpet look

The model didn’t look too thrilled in her photos. Later that night, she was overheard telling her friends how she hated the dress and how her stylist made a fool of her.

3. Clara Amfo’s Blue Leather Mishap

Clara Amfo adds a pop of color in a playful blue strapless dress with a statement bow, paired with vibrant multi-colored strappy heels Clara Amfo adds a pop of color in a playful blue strapless dress with a statement bow, paired with vibrant multi-colored strappy heels

The radio presenter looked awful in this blue leather dress. It was so awful that not even a pair of cute Sophia Webster shoes could save this look.

4. Pixie Lott’s Outdated Julien MacDonald Fringe Disaster

Pixie Lott opts for a daring metallic fringe dress with cut-out details, styled with silver strappy heels for a bold, edgy ensemble Pixie Lott opts for a daring metallic fringe dress with cut-out details, styled with silver strappy heels for a bold, edgy ensemble

We’re perplexed why the singer chose something as dated as this Julien MacDonald A/W 2015 dress. The fringe and the architectural bodice trends are so over.
