We’ll admit it — Bella Swan’s long-sleeved Carolina Herrera wedding dress was stunning. But if you’re anything like us, your eyes went straight to her wedding shoes.
While Bella eventually swapped them out for white Chuck Taylors during the reception scenes in The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn – Part 1, her high heels had their star moment earlier in the film — and they were unforgettable.
Fans got an early look at the bridal footwear weeks before the movie’s release when a photo leaked of Bella (Kristen Stewart) trying on her heels with soon-to-be sister-in-law Alice Cullen (played by Ashley Greene).

Bella Swan’s wedding shoes “only” have a 4 1/4″ covered heel, but without the front platform that we’ve already gotten used to seeing on shoes, the arch on these looks as steep as on 5 or 6″-high heels:

The crystal-beaded vine applique across the vamp represents a swan’s graceful curves. From some angles, it does resemble a swan.
If you want these as your next shoes, you’ll be happy to know they also come in non-bridal colors, such as black and cranberry, at Farfetch and Nordstrom.
Bella Swan’s Enchanting Wedding Gown from Twilight Saga: A Carolina Herrera Masterpiece
You’ve probably already heard that Bella Swan’s wedding dress from The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn – Part 1 once had an official replica — and yes, it was absolutely stunning.
Before the film’s release, bridal retailer Alfred Angelo acquired the license to produce and sell an affordable version of the Carolina Herrera-designed gown. Twilight fans could walk down the aisle in a nearly identical dress for around $799 — a dream come true at the time.

However, Alfred Angelo filed for bankruptcy and closed all stores in 2017, meaning the replica gown is no longer in production or sold in bridal salons. Still, devoted fans and collectors occasionally resell the dress online — so if you’re lucky, you might spot one on eBay, Poshmark, or vintage bridal resale sites. Want Bella’s bridal look without the hunting?
Many modern designers offer affordable alternatives inspired by her gown — think long lace sleeves, illusion backs, and mermaid silhouettes — perfect for channeling your inner vampire bride.

The original gown – a stunning silk dress cut on the bias featuring a mermaid-like silhouette, lace-trimmed long sleeves, and a sexy lace-trimmed illusion back fastened by a million buttons – was designed by Carolina Herrera and cost a whopping $35,000 to create.
The Making of an Icon: Carolina Herrera’s Vision
Stephenie Meyer, the author of the series, personally contacted Herrera for this project. Inspired by Meyer’s book and the wedding description within, Herrera, a fan of the series’ romantic themes, felt flattered to contribute to such a pivotal scene.
“I was called by Stephenie Meyer. We had to discuss a lot, but I was very inspired by her book and the description of the wedding,” Herrera said. “I was very flattered I was asked to do it; it’s a big scene for me.”

Herrera emphasized the uniqueness of designing wedding dresses, noting the importance of satisfying the bride and maintaining the gown’s secrecy until the wedding day.
She approached Kristen Stewart’s character, Bella, as she would any bride, focusing on the emotional significance of the dress.
