Sure, those high heels are fierce to look at, but walking in them? That’s another story. Ashley Graham discovered one of the occupational hazards of modeling at the 2017 Time 100 Gala held at New York’s Lincoln Center in April 2017.
While posing for the cameras, the model inspiration caught her Jimmy Choo “Pearl 120” heel on the hem of her Nili Lotan “Maya” black satin maxi skirt and tumbled over herself on the red carpet.
After the near-fall, Ashley quickly regained her composure and declared to the photographers, “You know, I’ve never fallen on the runway!”
Don’t worry, Ashley, you’re in good company. The 29-year-old catwalker can now count herself among veteran models such as Gigi Hadid, Agyness Deyn, and Naomi Campbell, who have taken nasty spills on the runway.
The rest of Ashley’s ensemble — a CAMI NYC lace-trimmed camisole, a Fleur du Mal corset belt, and an Adornmonde choker — were faultless in the red carpet mishap, but they were still guilty of overcooking the model’s look.

Ashley Graham’s choice of Jimmy Choo’s ‘Pearl 120’ sandals at the 2017 Time 100 Gala reflects a trend among celebrities favoring this distinctive design. Hailey Baldwin, for instance, paired the ‘Pearl’ sandals with a white Alexandre Vauthier mini dress at the Maxim Hot 100 Party, highlighting the sandals’ versatility and appeal.
Amy Adams also opted for the ‘Pearl’ heels during the 2016 Venice Film Festival, demonstrating their adaptability across various styles. These instances underscore the ‘Pearl’ sandals’ status as a favored choice among fashion-forward individuals.
