Anne Hathaway’s final film of 2016 was the science fiction black comedy Colossal, directed by Nacho Vigalondo.
Hathaway starred as an unemployed young writer and was the first actress to sign on to the project, even though it had no financial backing.

She was drawn to the genre-hopping nature of the script, which she compared to her favorite film, the 1999 American surrealist fantasy comedy-drama film Being John Malkovich.
The 2016 science fiction black comedy film Colossal received positive reviews from critics but only grossed $4 million at the box office.
During a Toronto festival interview, Hathaway mentioned how much she would have adored “Colossal” as a teenager.
“I would have loved this movie and felt so cool knowing it existed,” Hathaway said on the red carpet at the Toronto International Film Festival, adding that “Being John Malkovich” is one of her favorite movies of all time. “I did this one for my 16-year-old self.”

It doesn’t feel like it’s been that long since we featured a pregnant Anne Hathaway out on a morning jog, and now she’s back hitting the red carpet with her 6-month-old son Jonathan in tow.
Anne talked about what it’s been like traveling with her baby as she promoted her latest film, “Colossal,” at the 2016 Toronto International Film Festival.

While we think Anne looks lovely, we’re not sure this is the best look for her. The Rodarte dress is gorgeous, but we would have preferred this new mom in something a little more glamorous than sweet.

Contrary to what we expected, the actress proclaimed that her son was “an easy baby,” which made traveling “as easy as it can be.”
The actress also talked about her upcoming all-female “Ocean’s 8” filming and how she’s looking forward to getting to know Rihanna better.
Anne’s Francesco Russo sandals are unfortunately no longer available online.
