The long-awaited reunion finally arrived! The Devil Wears Prada cast Anne Hathaway, Meryl Streep, and Emily Blunt reunited at the 30th Annual SAG Awards to present the Best Outstanding Performance by a Male Actor in a Comedy Series.
In celebration of the iconic moment, Hathaway showed up in a cerulean blue Versace gown as a nod to a classic scene in the movie in which Miranda Priestly (Streep) delivered her iconic blue sweater speech.
In the scene, Hathaway’s character Andy Sachs scoffed when Priestly’s assistant showed two belts of identical color, saying, “It’s a tough call. They’re so different.” When Priestly asked Sachs, “Something funny?” she said the belts looked “exactly the same” to her. At that point, Priestly began her monologue about the different shades of blue, even picking at Andy’s “lumpy blue sweater,” saying that her “sweater is not just blue, it’s not turquoise, it’s not lapis, it’s actually Cerulean.”

Behind The Scenes: The Making of a Memorable Look
Hathaway definitely came prepared for the much-awaited reunion, telling The Hollywood Reporter, “This look was guided by a practical reality: I was literally stepping off a plane and onto the carpet, so I needed something visually impactful but friendly on the body.” She added, “Given who I was presenting with, I asked for a very specific color.”
Her stylist Erin Walsh revealed, “We wanted to take it back and throw a bit of a curveball — how about a little nod of archive cerulean blue Versace on the occasion of her presenting with some old friends?”
Hathaway’s appearance at the 2024 SAG Awards came just a day after dazzling the front row of Versace’s Fall/Winter fashion show during Milan Fashion Week. “We are going to SAG direct from the Milan Versace show; [Anne] is getting ready at the Private Suite at the airport,” said Walsh.

Standing Out in Style: The Unique Elements of Hathaway’s Gown
Anne Hathaway, one of my favorite style icons, can leave a lasting impression with her bold and daring fashion choices. She always manages to pull off any look with ease and flair, whether sporting a casual ‘fit or a gown with a vintage feel.
Among the sea of reds, blacks, and metallics at the 2024 SAG Awards, The Princess Diaries star stood out in the blue Versace bustier gown. And I must say, I am impressed.
Erin Walsh, whose clientele includes Selena Gomez, Sofia Carson, Jessica Alba, and Elizabeth Banks, unearthed Hathaway’s stunning gown from Atelier Versace’s Spring 2015 archives.

Not to be biased, but I thought the off-the-shoulder plunging neckline looked flattering rather than tacky—perhaps because Hathaway always makes anything seem elegant despite the amount of cleavage on display.
Hathaway’s preference for daring fashion choices with attention-grabbing dramatic cuts was evident in her gown’s cleavage-baring neckline, midriff peek-a-boo cutout, and high-waisted skirt with a dangerous hip-high slit.
In addition to the flattering silhouette, I love how the electric blue color contrasted with Hathaway’s cool skin tone, giving her a fresh and youthful appearance.
I’m not particularly interested in the wide belt with a large, rectangular buckle incorporated into the dress. Although it added interest and punctuation to the ensemble, I think it would look more elegant without it.

Accessorizing The Look: From Bulgari Jewels to Gianvito Rossi Sandals
Although her heels were partially hidden beneath her gown, Hathaway chose the “Lucrezia” sandals by Gianvito Rossi, bringing contemporary glamour to the ensemble.
They are crafted from metal-effect leather and have rounded open toes, asymmetric curved straps, ankle cuffs with a back zip for easy wearability, and 4-inch stiletto heels. A gold version of these sandals is available for $1,095 at Farfetch and Matches Fashion.

I wasn’t surprised that Hathaway chose accessories from Bulgari’s Serpenti line, considering that she has been an ambassador for the Italian luxury fashion house since 2022.
Her ears were adorned with the $30,000 Serpenti earrings in platinum and 18k yellow gold with 36 marquise diamonds totaling 4.07 carats, 144 2.82-carat pavé diamonds, and four 0.44-carat pear-shaped emeralds for the eyes.

The Interstellar actress adorned her neck with the Serpenti Viper necklace in 18k white gold with full pavé diamonds and finished off her brilliant look with a dainty bracelet and a few rings, including the $38,100 Serpenti Viper Ring in 18k white gold set with 2.77-carat full pavé diamonds.
I’m not convinced with her choice of Gold Snake Serpenti Flap Clutch as it didn’t go well with the rest of her accessories; a simple silver snakeskin clutch would have been a better option to complete the ensemble.
Radiant Beauty: Hathaway’s Makeup and Hairstyling
When it came to her glam, Jillian Dempsey gave Anne Hathaway’s skin a “supple, hydrated, and beautifully brightened” look using Shiseido. She accentuated her downturned eyes with mascara and subtle rosy eyeshadow and used rosy blush and lipstick to create a classic beauty look.

Sequins and Crystals: Hathaway Shimmers at Film Independent Spirit Awards
A day after attending the SAG Awards, Anne Hathaway made her way to the 2024 Film Independent Spirit Awards, showcasing yet another amazing fashion display. This time, she wore a white pantsuit covered in white sequins.
Although she looked elegant in her blue gown at the SAG Awards, her sleeker, more contemporary red-carpet style at the Film Independent Spirit Awards won me over.
The 41-year-old actress was nominated for Best Supporting Performance as Rebecca in the psychological thriller Eileen. However, Da’Vine Joy Randolph took home the trophy, continuing to slay the awards circuit with her portrayal of Barton cafeteria manager and bereaved mother Mary Lamb in the comedy-drama The Holdovers.

The Les Misérables star exuded effortless radiance in a white Valentino jumpsuit, custom-made for her by Valentino‘s creative director, Pierpaolo Piccioli.
I loved how the shimmering pantsuit accentuated Hathaway’s trim figure. Her 5’8″ height was enhanced, and her curves were subtly highlighted.
It looked modest yet chic with a high neck, a corseted waist, and wide-leg pants embellished with glimmering white sequins all over. Crystals were scattered on the bottoms and featured in stripes on the bodice.

I agree with stylist Erin Walsh in keeping Hathaway’s accessories cohesive, styling the shimmering white look with silver heels and white gold jewelry.
Hathaway slipped her feet into Aquazzura‘s “Sundance Plateau” sandals crafted in Italy from laminated leather. They have a strappy design with a banded ribbed texture, slim ankle straps, and peep toes set atop a 5.5-inch self-covered block heel and a 1.5-inch platform. These sandals retail for $950 and are available in various colors at Mytheresa and Farfetch.

What I love most about Anne Hathaway is her inherent beauty, enhanced by her minimal makeup. All Hathaway needed to stand out were a dab of pink blush, a swipe of lipstick, and a hint of eyeliner.
