My eyes lit up when I saw a preview of Anna Sui’s Fall/Winter 2013 jewelry collection, which was paraded on the Mercedes-Benz New York Fashion Week runway.
Her whole collection, in particular, was a cohesive mix of retro-inspired ensembles with the right touch of accessories that are nostalgic for the 1960s and 1970s.

I love how the designer introduced a steady mix of long statement pendant necklaces, brooches, collar neckpieces, and bejeweled neckties.
The sunburst patterns of the pendants and brooches, especially the beaded necktie, are so boho and evocative of the free-spirited vibe of the hippie years. Please allow me to indulge your senses through the following runway snapshots:
Long Sunburst Pendant Necklaces
Cara Delevingne starts this list with a multi-colored rhinestone sunburst pendant dangling on a pearl and stone beaded long chain.

The following sunburst necklaces are either sprayed on singular chains or double layers of interlocking beads or pearls.

The pendants feature faceted stones and crystals of varying shapes and sizes set against what appears to be a colored resin or enamel base.

Sunburst Brooches
These sunburst brooches come in the same pattern and style as the pendants. They serve as great accent pieces on Anna Sui’s retro palette:

Beaded & Bejeweled Neckties
Necktie jewelry is back and given an exciting twist by the designer. The first neckpiece features glass bead embroidery in two tones of blue, while the next set features more ornate pieces with crystal and stone sets:

Collar Necklaces
Following Anna Sui’s aesthetic of combining femininity and modern edge, these collar necklaces are gorgeous!
The Peter Pan collar on the left is delicate and, at the same time, glamorous, while the one on the right has a slightly gothic feel with its black and white stones.

Meanwhile, the third neckpiece has a more exotic flavor with its angular pendant and flatback stones set against a round gold choker.

I hope you enjoyed going through these pieces as much as I did!
