Angelina Jolie recently spent some time out of the spotlight, but it looks like the actress is back with a vengeance. After taking a year off, Angelina is now debuting “First They Killed My Father,” the fourth movie she’s directed. The actress flew her children all the way to Toronto for the much-anticipated premiere.
The actress was spotted arriving at the 42nd Toronto Film Festival for the film showing.

As expected, the actress showed up in her trademark all-black look, this time slipping into a beautiful asymmetrical dress by Ralph & Russo. The dress had a dainty bow on the shoulder and a thigh high slit.
The actress accessorized her look with drop earrings from Samer Hamileh New York.
We love a good pump just as much as the next person, but there are times we prefer to leave them at home. This red carpet event was one of those instances. In our opinion, Angelina would have fared better with a pair of ankle strap sandals.
But, Angelina wouldn’t be Angelina if she wasn’t in a pair of pumps or strappy flats, so we’re willing to let this slide.

At the premiere, the actress talked about her inspiration for the film. She said it tells the story of her good friend and activist Loung Ung, who encouraged Angelina to adopt her son Maddox, who is now 16 years old.
Angelina also said Maddox served as an executive producer for the film, involving himself in meetings and contributing to the perspective of young Loung Ung in the film.
