Amy Adams has got to be one of the most gracious leading ladies in Hollywood today. Even though she was excluded from the Oscars best actress lineup for her work in “Arrival,” Amy refuses to sit at home and pout. Admittedly the actress felt disappointed at the exclusion, but regardless, she brushed her feelings aside to support the production.
The actress was spotted on the red carpet of the 2017 Directors Guild Awards to support her “Arrival” director Denis Villeneuve. The event was held at The Beverly Hilton Hotel in Los Angeles.

Amy shunned her usual black dresses for a beautiful pearl strapless dress by Ulyana Sergeenko. The dress featured a beautifully fitted bodice with a straight neckline, which flared out to a full ankle skirt with faux pleats. The fabric is made out of lightly embroidered floral patterns.
The actress finished her look with a Max Mara clutch, beautiful jewelry from Neil Lane, and a pair of double ankle strapped Jimmy Choo satin sandals.

Villeneuve said that if there were one Oscar nomination he would bet his life on, it would be Amy’s. Nonetheless, the director expressed that being nominated for a sci-fi thriller film in the Oscars was already a feat in itself.
At the DGAs, the director was nominated for “Outstanding Directorial Achievement in a Feature Film” but lost the title to “La La Land” director Damien Chazelle.
