The American Foundation for AIDS Research, known as amfAR, marked its 10th annual gala in Los Angeles on Thursday. Since it began, the amfAR Gala Los Angeles has already raised over $14 million for amfAR’s life-saving research programs.
The event has consistently drawn A-list celebrities; this year was no different. On Thursday, stars flocked to Los Angeles’ Milk Studios to support the charity event, and the fashion looks they served were nothing short of stunning.
1. Gwyneth Paltrow Looks Classy in Jimmy Choo Heels
Gwyneth Paltrow was honored with the Award of Courage at the gala for her support and contributions to the AIDS Foundation. Although she had no speech prepared, the 47-year-old actress was well-dressed.

Stylist Natalie Hoselton masterminded Gwyneth’s classy look. Her long white Adam Lippes Spring 2020 caftan gown, which featured red palm embroideries, fell beautifully on her body. She kept the look effortlessly glamorous with Bulgari jewels and a pair of white satin sandals by Jimmy Choo.
Lorenzo Martin styled her twisted bun flawlessly, while Georgie Eisdell perfected her soft, radiant makeup.

Gwyneth’s Jimmy Choo sandals feature platforms and block heels, similar to the ‘Santina.’ These satin sandals have crystal-embellished ankle straps, about 1-inch platforms, and 5-inch heels.

2. Eva Longoria Dares to Bare in Gianvito Rossi Sandals
Eva Longoria stole the spotlight in a long-sleeved, mustard gown from the Dundas Pre-Fall 2019 collection. Aside from the strikingly vibrant color, the dress also features a daring plunging keyhole detail at the front, putting Eva’s cleavage on full display. It’s also backless, and the cinched waist has cutout details on each side, showing more of her skin.

3. Christina Aguilera Goes Glam Diva in Saint Laurent Pumps
Christina Aguilera, who performed at the event, also had one of the most eye-catching outfits of the night.
She made an entrance in a diva-like fashion, wearing a sequined black and red patterned jumpsuit and a voluminous ruffled tulle cape top with a long train from Nicolas Jebran’s 2019 capsule collection.

The 38-year-old singer accessorized the look with Sutra jewelry and a pair of Saint Laurent pumps, handpicked by stylist Samantha Burkhart. Her blonde hair was coiffed in a bun by hairstylist Rob Talty, while Anthony Nguyen did her contoured bronzed makeup look.

Keeping her shoes simple was wise since her outfit was already striking enough. She wore a classic pair of ‘Janis’ pumps by Saint Laurent, which feature pointed toes, 1-inch beveled platforms, and about 5-inch heels.

4. Lea Michele Defines Victorian Glamour in Casadei Heels
Lea Michele opted for a Victorian look, wearing a floral brocade dress from Reem Acra’s Fall 2019 collection. The vintage silhouette with a nipped waist, velvet bowtie straps, and a voluminous ball skirt perfectly accentuated the former Glee star’s figure.

This is probably one of Lea Michele’s best looks to date, thanks to her stylist, Brad Goreski. Laura Polko styled her hair in a sleek center-parted bun, while Denise Madrigal glammed her up with full lashes and maroon lip shade.

5. Alexandra Daddario Is Gothic Chic in Miu Miu Pumps
Percy Jackson star Alexandra Daddario sashayed down the purple carpet in an intriguing goth glam look. She wore a black Escada dress she mentioned she got from her mom. The floor-length silhouette looked a bit basic, but the lacy long sleeves and side slit gave the dress an interesting twist.

Alexandra didn’t want to appear too simple for the occasion. Instead of teaming up her dress with classic black sandals or strappy heels, she opted for a pair of Miu Miu pumps, which are anything but ordinary.

These pumps were first seen at the Paris label’s Pre-Fall 2015 runway show. They are made from color-blocked antique roses, cream, brown python, and silver glittered leather outlined with black piping. They also have about 4.5-inch python block heels.

Never one to shy away from a peculiar look, Cara Santana strutted like a ballerina on the purple carpet in a pink feathered frock by Nicole + Felicia. It was a bizarre choice featuring nothing but feathers and a wide waist cinch belt.
