Having displayed her impressive vocal talents in movies such as Dear John (2010), Ted 2 (2015), the Mamma Mia! film series, and Les Misérables (2012), there should be no doubt that Amanda Seyfried is a great singer.
With a mother who’s an occupational therapist and a pharmacist father, singing does not exactly lie in the family, though her older sister, Jennifer Seyfried, is a musician in the Philadelphia organ-driven rock band Love City.

After a short modeling career as a teenager, Amanda Seyfried took voice lessons, studied opera, and trained with a Broadway coach while still a teen.
In an interview with Celebs Now, she said she regrets not pursuing a career in opera.
‘[My biggest regret is] quitting opera-singing training when I was 17,’ Amanda revealed.
‘That had been my passion before acting took over and I wish I had stuck with it.’

She also talked with You Magazine about being nervous about hitting the right notes for her role as Cosette in the Oscar-winning film Les Misérables.
‘Singing live on camera [was my biggest challenge],’ the actress told the gossip magazine.
‘It was such a different style from the songs I did in Mamma Mia! and a lot of people, including me, were scared I wouldn’t have the stamina for it. ‘But I worked really hard with my voice coach.’
In September 2015, Amanda Seyfried struck a pose while attending the Concert for Our Oceans hosted by Seth MacFarlane held at the Wallis Annenberg Center for the Performing Arts in Beverly Hills.

Amanda Seyfried’s Minge Foot Tattoo
While filming the first Mamma Mia! movie, actor English Colin Firth used to say “minge” a lot on the set. Amanda, being American, didn’t know what it meant.
However, she quickly found out it describes the hair surrounding the vagina.

Finding it funny, Amanda Seyfried and her Mamma Mia! co-stars Rachel McDowall and Ashley Lilley all agreed to get matching “minge” tattoos on their feet. She also decided to make her Instagram handle @mingey.
In an appearance on Late Night With Seth Meyers in July 2018, Amanda explained the meaning of her “minge” tattoo.
We’re best friends, my girlfriends Rachel and Ashley. We got “minge” tattooed on our feet. It’s a term of endearment and in England, it means ‘vagina.’ But in the U.S., where I spend most of my time, it just doesn’t mean anything. So we commemorated our friendship with “minge” tattoos.
