Amanda’s downward spiral started around 2013 when she was seen wearing more provocative clothes, and her appearance drastically changed.

She started posting strange messages on her social media accounts, pierced her cheeks, and called other celebrities “ugly” on Twitter. She even tried to set fire to an elderly woman’s garage!

Amanda was placed on a psychiatric hold in September 2013 and began receiving treatment for bipolar disorder. While her journey has included periods of ongoing treatment, there have been significant signs of improvement. Recently, she has even made a return to social media, indicating positive progress in her recovery.

Amanda is now making a slow return after her very public meltdown. She was recently spotted at a launch party for her designer friend Michael Costello’s new collection.
