It’s been an incredible theater journey for someone who started out playing the role of Mama Mary in the nativity scene as a young girl, to finally making it to the most coveted acting stage in the world, nabbing the leading role in the play Gigi.

Vanessa plays a free-spirited Parisienne who is forced to become a wealthy playboy’s companion – a role made popular by the lovely Audrey Hepburn back in 1951.
Despite getting mixed reviews, the 26-year-old shows her full enthusiasm at finally making it to the big stage.

Vanessa graced the 2015 Stars in the Alley Outdoor Concert, a concert celebrating the legendary impact that Broadway has had on New York, by performing together with another television-turned-Broadway actor – Darren Criss from the popular show Glee.

The 26-year-old American actress and singer also took the stage with her Gigi co-star, Corey Scott. The actress looked lovely in a Saylor romper worn under a light blazer, styled with her trademark platform shoes.
