Meghan Trainor was hard to miss in a sparkling gown at the 2015 Billboard Music Awards held at the MGM Grand Garden Arena on Sunday last week.
She was up for nine nominations and was able to bag two awards, including Top Digital Song and Top Hot 100 Song for her smash hit, “All About That Bass.”

A thigh-high slit lent a hint of sultry appeal to the rather modest silhouette of the dress, making it look both elegant and sexy.

Many were probably expecting the hitmaker to arrive in a funky and youthful outfit considering her bubblegum pop music genre, not to mention her playful music videos.

Nevertheless, she looked great in her forest green gown, which worked well with her pale complexion. Her long side-parted subtly waved locks and soft makeup created a more glamorous look.

Giving the classic gown some modern edge, Meghan topped off her look with a pair of reptile-embossed faux leather strappy heels by Jessica Simpson. The “Solena” sandals feature double rolled straps, t-straps, back zip fastenings, 1.5-inch platforms, and 5-inch heels.
