Who would have thought that leather could look so feminine? Alexa Chung proves once again that leather is not just a piece you can wear with edgy outfits. I honestly can’t get enough of her vintage-inspired style.
She showed up at the J.W. Anderson Autumn/Winter 2013 London Fashion Week show wearing an outfit inspired by the ’60s.

The cable knit chunky jumper matches the leather pleated skirt from J.W. Anderson x Topshop. Alexa accessorized with black beribboned flats and a black clutch.
Adding black to her light-colored attire prevented this outfit from looking too washed out. Excellent job, Alexa! Many are fans of the J.W. Anderson x Topshop cream patent skirt because it is already sold out. Sorry, ladies!
This shouldn’t stop you from achieving the same look, though. You too can copy Alexa’s look. It’s an outfit you can wear to work, date, stroll in the park, visiting museums, brunch with your girlfriends, or even shopping.

Right: A stylish and sophisticated look combining a soft-knit sweater with a pleated midi skirt, accessorized with ankle-tie boots, perfect for a smart-casual occasion
Pleated skirts are lovely to have in your closet. Aside from a cable-knitted jumper, you can pair them with sleeveless, cropped, or graphic-printed tops. Go ahead and try creating different looks with the same item!
