We’re used to seeing Alexa Chung in Peter Pan collars. The model practically owns the look.
Can you picture her in something as bold and fierce as animal print? That’s exactly how we spotted the British style icon today, making her exit from BBC Breakfast Studios in London.
Alexa wore all-black attire and a wooly leopard print topper. The scarf was the perfect accent to her rocker chick get-up. She styled the scarf with a frame bag—a rather unusual choice, but the mishmash of punk, ladylike, and glam elements somehow worked for her.

Don’t you love that scarf? She wore it with a black tee, a black peacoat, a fur vest, a leather skirt, black tights, and boots.
It looks warm, thick, and cozy, just the kind you’ll need for fall and winter. The double-sided design (herringbone + leopard print) also makes it a very versatile accessory. Sadly, we have yet to find out where Alexa scored the piece.

If you’re just as clueless but would love to grab something warm, cozy, and unique for the cooler seasons, here’s a ruana that may do the trick. It has the same reversible concept; you can use it as a scarf if and when you like it.

On a side note, if you have the budget of a celebrity fashionista, this reversible wrap from Missoni is an excellent option to try. It’s textured on one side and striped on the other — a fantastic option, though sadly, quite pricey at $1,230:
