Britain’s Got Talent judge, Alesha Dixon, caught my eye at the press launch of today’s TV talent show at the Institute of Contemporary Arts in Central London.

She was stunning, as was the blue-and-white floral print on her button-down shirt and pleated skirt.

The print from Alesha Dixon’s shirt to skirt continues so seamlessly that you can’t fault me for mistaking her two-piece ensemble as a one-piece shirtdress.

Alesha Dixon is wearing a look from the Roberto Cavalli Resort 2013 collection. Here’s the shirt from her ensemble:
Roberto Cavalli Floral Silk Shirt, $1,185.29
Now that I think of it, this shirt and skirt would look better if it were a one-piece shirtdress. I don’t have the shirtdress, but thankfully, Roberto Cavalli experimented with this blue-and-white print plenty and applied it to many different dress styles.
Blue-and-white floral-print gowns:
Roberto Cavalli Printed Slip Gown, $6,412.78; Roberto Cavalli Empire Waist Gown, $1,817.44
Blue-and-white floral-print cocktail dresses:
Roberto Cavalli Cutout Neckline Dress, $1,066.76; Roberto Cavalli Sleeveless Dress, $625.07
Blue-and-white floral-print day dresses:
Roberto Cavalli Striped Floral Print Dress, $496.69; Roberto Cavalli Lace Insert Tank Dress, $1,632.13
Blue-and-white floral-print dresses in varying hem lengths:
Roberto Cavalli Printed Mermaid Gown, $1,269.95; Robert Cavalli Printed Elbow-Sleeved Dress, $931.30
I’m still enamored with the print, but it can be overwhelming after looking at it on one dress after another. What’s your verdict on this print, do you love it or not? Do you find it vibrant, or does it remind you too much of a Ming vase?
