She turned down OpenAI’s offer to use her voice in a controversial ChatGPT system in May 2024. Scarlett Johansson is lending her voice to Elita-1, an Autobot who can transform into a Cybertronian motorcycle and is Optimus Prime’s female counterpart in the animated sci-fi action film Transformers One.
Transformers One, helmed by Josh Cooley, is based on Hasbro’s toy line. The franchise’s first theatrical animated feature film tells the story of the early relationship between Optimus Prime and Megatron and how it changed the fate of Cybertron.
Currently playing in cinemas, it brought in $9.6 million on its opening day and is projected to gross $30-$40 million in its opening weekend.
Glamorous in Red Saint Laurent Ruched Gown
Scarlett Johansson voices the fearless retro-futuristic Autobot Elita-1, depicted in pink and silver. But for the film’s London premiere, which took place at Cineworld Leicester Square on Thursday, September 19, Johansson opted for a classic glamorous red dress over a futuristic cyborg-looking one.
Johansson’s signature style is a blend of effortless coolness and classic elegance that often accentuates her amazing hourglass shape, so seeing her in another form-fitting dress didn’t surprise me.
With the assistance of her stylist, Kate Young, Colin Jost’s wife donned a custom dress designed by Saint Laurent’s creative director, Anthony Vaccarello. This off-the-shoulder, blood-red gown strikes the ideal balance between elegance and sensuality, perfectly encapsulating the house’s refined but avant-garde style, which is also very Johansson, in my opinion.
It’s fitted around the bodice, accentuating her contours. It has long sleeves and a floor-skimming column skirt. I particularly like the ruching throughout, as it gives the otherwise plain monochromatic red motif some texture and enhances the dress’s flattering bodycon silhouette.

Scarlett Johansson’s Strappy Saint Laurent “Liza” Heels
Red heels might have been a more fitting option for Johansson’s head-to-toe monochrome ensemble, but she opted for black sandals. Still, her outfit looked great with them.
She wore the $1,450 Saint Laurent “Liza” sandals crafted in Italy from satin crepe. I love the flirty air the strappy uppers give, featuring crystal-encrusted crisscross toe straps and wraparound ankle straps. Their style is completed by the 4.3-inch geometric flared heels and open almond toes.

Rubies and Warm Makeup
Despite the black shoes she wore, her Jessica McCormack jewelry and Old Hollywood glam made the look cohesive.
Scarlett accessorized with multiple tiny hoop and stud earrings, including a pair of $12,130 Jessica McCormack Signature Gypset hoops featuring two 1.80ct. heart-shaped rubies set in 18k yellow gold and blackened white gold. She also wore another pair of Signature Gypset hoops, this time adorned with two 3ct. round brilliant-cut diamonds, also set in 18k yellow and blackened white gold.
While I think it’s better to keep the neck bare when wearing off-the-shoulder outfits, Johansson enhanced the look’s classic glamour with the Jessica McCormack Oval Cross Rivière tennis necklace. Handcrafted in blackened 18k white and 18k yellow gold, it is set with 18.85ct. oval-shaped diamonds in a Georgian cut-down setting.
On her hands, she wore the $9,920 Signature heart-shaped ruby ring and the $30,880 Signature heart-shaped diamond ring. Both were handmade in 18k yellow and 18k white gold, with a signature button back and a Georgian cut-down setting.
Glam-wise, Scarlett never fails! Her blonde hair was styled in subtle waves and parted to the side. Her makeup, care of Hung Vanngo, beautifully matched her autumnal red dress. She wore smokey reddish-brown eyeshadow, rosy blush, and matte red lipstick.
