Jennifer Lopez spent July 4th in the Hamptons, one of America’s most expensive holiday spots, amid persistent rumors that she and Ben Affleck had been separated for months.
I love how J.Lo embraced the laid-back rural atmosphere of the Hamptons by eschewing her usual city-chic look in favor of a relaxed country-chic ensemble from her go-to label, Ralph Lauren.

In 2013, J.Lo bought an 8,660-square-foot property in the Hamptons for $10 million. Several well-known celebrities, such as Beyoncé, Julianne Moore, Gwyneth Paltrow, and Sarah Jessica Parker, also own summer homes on Long Island’s east end.
Countryside Chic in Ralph Lauren
For her low-key Independence Day celebration, the Atlas star adopted the comfort and practicality of a country-chic style, adding just enough high-fashion touches to give it her signature refinement.
Given her long-standing working ties with Ralph Lauren, the American fashion company that shares her Bronx roots, I wasn’t surprised J.Lo chose a set from the brand.
She has worn the designer several times; notably, she donned Ralph Lauren at the Met Gala in 2023 and 2021 and three gowns from the brand for her 2022 Georgia wedding to Ben Affleck.

J. Lo’s easygoing yet refined presence left me stunned yet again. She wore the Floral Cotton Tie-Back Blouse (on sale for $209 from $296), cut from lightweight woven cotton with striped and floral prints reminiscent of antique French motifs. I love how the color enhances the vintage vibe of the design.
The shirred ruffle trims at the Peter Pan collar and short sleeves lend a youthful touch, while the chest pockets with double-ended arrow piping give it a Western vibe. The feminine blouse is finished with a self-tie at the rear waist, accentuating J. Lo’s toned body.
Although I think the blouse will look great with denim jeans, the Selena actress never does anything so conventional. Instead, she tucked it into a pair of $295 Ralph Lauren Cropped Cotton Wide-Leg Pants in New Military Khaki Japanese piece-dyed cotton twill.
Inspired by the 1940s, these trousers have hand-set back flapped pockets, stitched down pleated front, and buttoned belt loops with adjustable tabs at the sides.

Minimal But Striking Accessories
I appreciate that J.Lo kept the remainder of her outfit casual, styling with simple yet eye-catching accessories that complement the ensemble’s countryside-chic feel.
The Maid in Manhattan star sported her favorite 2” Silver Thread Hoops by Jennifer Fisher and her Rahaminov Diamonds platinum engagement ring. It is set with a rare 8.5ct. emerald-cut green diamond flanked by two diamonds, given to her by her estranged husband Ben Affleck.
Many, including me, didn’t expect that, as she had recently been spotted without it in a video posted to her JLo Beauty Instagram account while promoting the Ultimate Body Kit + Complexion Booster, fueling breakup rumors.

Keeping the look’s summery motif, J.Lo carried her daily essentials in the $6,400 Dior Hat Basket Bag. A blend of sophistication and practicality, this bag is fully hand-embroidered in natural, supple raffia with tonal flowers. The Christian Dior Paris signature is on the front and is finished with double top handles.
The straw hat was the perfect finishing touch, complementing the rest of her outfit and enhancing the summery look.

Swapping Heels for Flip-Flops
In a rare move, J.Lo wore flip-flops instead of her signature heels and wedges. But in a field of flowers, who would even dare wear heels?
J.Lo opted for Ralph Lauren’s flip-flops, which are made from dark brown vegetable-tanned cowhide leather. They have a slip-on thong silhouette, RRL debossed insoles, EVA midsoles, and treaded rubber outsoles for traction.

Ben Affleck Celebrates Fourth of July with Kids
On the other side of the country, Ben Affleck marked Independence Day by having lunch at Kaz The Soba Place in Los Angeles with his kids, Fin, 15, and Violet, 18, whom he shares with his ex-wife Jennifer Garner.
He was reportedly seen wearing his wedding ring at the time.
