The women of Feud: Capote vs. The Swans were out in full force for their series’ For Your Consideration event held at the Directors Guild of America Theater Complex in Los Angeles.

The FYC campaigning strategy helps the cast advertise their show ahead of the Primetime Emmy Awards in September. It is targeted at members of the entertainment industry award voting groups, such as the Academy of Television Arts & Sciences, which presents the Primetime Emmy Awards for Television.

While Naomi Watts, Chloë Sevigny, and Diane Lane exuded elegance in white, Demi Moore embraced retro glamour in all-black.

Demi Moore Channels Vintage Glamour in Carolina Herrera

Moore’s attire has me completely smitten. It’s elegant and refined, but the look reminds me of a woman grieving the loss of a loved one.

I wasn’t surprised that she went retro for the occasion, given that the second season of Feud is set in the 1950s, and she plays socialite Ann Woodward, who was suspected of killing her husband.

Demi wore a black wool-blend top and flared pants from Carolina Herrera’s Pre-Fall 2024 collection, perfectly capturing the elegance of the mid-20th century. The $1,190 top is simple and sleek, with a mock neck, structured mid-length sleeves, and a cropped hem, while its matching $1,390 tailored pants have an ultra-high waist and flared legs.

Although Moore’s heels were hidden from my view, she was wearing the same Christian Louboutin “Marchavekel” d’Orsay pumps that Zendaya wore to this year’s Met Gala.

They are a classic with knotted vamps, peep toes, and slim ankle straps. The thick platforms and tall stiletto heels accentuated Moore’s 5’5” height.

The ensemble is sleek and modern, but the statement pillbox hat, also by Carolina Herrera, offers a retro touch, which, in my opinion, keeps the combination from being boring. It has a fishnet veil covering Demi’s eyes, flawlessly reflecting Ann Woodward’s enigmatic aura.

Under the hat, Demi’s hair was pulled back into a neat, low ponytail. She wore heavy mascara, smudged eyeliner, and nude lipstick to enhance the look’s dark glamour.

Moore added a selection of jewelry to the monochromatic black outfit to give it a dash of sparkle. She adorned her red-manicured hands with black and silver bangles and a few matching rings and fastened Anabela Chan’s Black Diamond Cushion Wing Studs to her ears.

These $2,366 chunky earrings have two laboratory-grown cushion-cut simulated black diamonds weighing 10 carats each and 18k white gold and black rhodium vermeil with pavè-set simulated black diamonds inspired by delicate butterfly wings.

Naomi Watts Showcases Effortless Elegance in Magda Butrym

Wearing a strapless cream midi dress by Magda Butrym, Naomi Watts is channeling the sophisticated elegance of Babe Paley, her on-screen character in Capote vs. The Swans.

The $1,910 dress showcases Naomi’s slender figure with a strapless, sculpted corset bodice made of crinkled silk taffeta. It features a tight waist and wide hips that fall into a column skirt ending right above the ankles.

As someone into minimalism, I adore the dress’s clean lines and simplicity. The fact that it has practical side pockets and a back slit for ease of movement is another thing I love about it.

I have always believed that gold and white go together so well, so I love how stylist Jeanann Williams accessorized Naomi Watts’ all-white outfit with gold jewelry by Tabayer.

Watts wore the $5,750 “Oera” earrings handmade in Italy from 18k Fairmined yellow gold. These scaled-up laconic gold hoops have an asymmetric burnished edge that evokes abstraction.

She paired it with the matching Oera knot coil ring in yellow gold and the thick Oera bracelet that creates a nexus and a knot that meets in a sprinkling of diamonds.

Danilo Dixon fashioned Watts’ blonde bob straight and tucked behind her ears to showcase her opulent earrings. Makeup artist Kate Lee, meanwhile, added a pop of color to Watts’ look with pink lipstick.

Rounding out the head-to-toe white ensemble were white Jimmy Choo pumps. They’re just as minimalist as her dress, with pointed toes and slim stiletto heels, adding around 3 inches to her 5’4” height.

Chloë Sevigny Gets Playful in Renaissance Renaissance

Wearing a billowy mini dress by Beirut-based fashion label Renaissance Renaissance, Sevigny embraced her refined yet whimsical style, evoking the spirit of her Capote vs. The Swans character, C.Z. Guest.

Renaissance Renaissance is known for its playful and sophisticated creations, which wonderfully encapsulate Sevigny and Guest’s sense of style.

Sevigny wore the cotton poplin “Limi” puffy mini dress with short puff sleeves and a balloon hem that created the gathering design throughout. It also features an exaggerated collar that stretches down her dress and is affixed with a button at the back.

While I think the loose-fitting, voluminous mini dress is a bit too youthful for Sevigny, who’s turning 50 this year, I have to admit she pulled it off well. She looks great, and the mini dress highlights her individuality.

The dress is currently on sale for $403 (from $610) at Ssense.

Chloe skipped the jewelry department and paired the dress with classic black pumps selected by stylist Austen Turner. These pumps are roughly 4 inches high and are finished with pointed toes.

With the assistance of her hairstylist, Vernon Francoise, Sevigny added a coquette touch to the look by placing a black bow in her long, wavy hair, emphasizing the youthful vibe of the ensemble.

Molly Greenwald rounded out her glam with red lipstick and mascara to accentuate her blue eyes.

Diane Lane Is Chic in Brunello Cucinelli

Like her co-stars, Diane Lane channeled her inner Capote vs. The Swans character, Slim Keith, looking sophisticated in a shirt and skirt combo.

I have to say, it fits her age and the event. She wore a classic white button-down shirt with scrunched-up long sleeves tucked into an open-knit beige midi skirt embroidered with sparkling sequins and dark magnolia motifs.

It’s a straightforward yet stylish combination, and I appreciate how she kept the rest of the look minimalist to let the skirt steal the show. She wore floral diamond earrings, a diamond ring, and a bracelet.

Pink lips, rosy blush, and mascara accentuated her beautiful features, and her brown hair was fashioned in side-parted waves that flowed around her shoulders.

Her classy outfit comprised gray suede pumps with round toes, slim ankle straps, and short block heels.
